just installed my new Alphawerks Stainless Steel Headers, hate the sound love the extra power

Maybe sometime next week, I'm getting ready to head out to Cali for the weekend

and MTcX, I got it off eBay for $300 but it didn't come with a new exhaust manifold, but half price is still pretty good

no that's just what heat does to stainless steel, I made sure to wipe off all my greasy finger prints before I ran the engine, but I hat to temp tie the oil dip stick out of the way and the wax cover string I used blew over onto the left ube and now there is a little mark on it, and that stuff won't come off, not once its been run

 

i have someone looking into getting me dealer cost on it, i'll check out ebay too though. What exhaust do you have?

 

I just thought maybe you were going with a gold theme inside the engine bay. LOL. J/K

 

is $300 a good deal? i used to be able to get these brand new for $290 and that was 6 months ago. havent checked in a while though. i still want the mmw headers...

I just have the dealership TRD exhaust

and the MSRP on these headers is $600, I actually paid $275 w/ free shipping, got it from seller urbanimport.com, just checked and they don't have any listed right now

 

I've had my alphawerks header on for quite awhile, about a year now. I agree on the sound, but it is a thousand times better than the bee hive/tin can DC sport sound.

 

yeah i was under the impression the MSRP is $600 as well but one of hte best headers for our car being that its polished or whatever on the inside as well and really smooth. I saw that it tested the best on the dyno in the threads for the tC.

That looks great, I can't see mine.

 

That's why I went with the Alphawerks, cause of the dyno tests. I have the Injen Cold Air Intake(did best on the intake dynos) also so its a great match.
