Default k just did the front sills on my xB no way 56k

k i sucked it up and decided to take off the sill tape in the front. I wanted to do the front first to see how it looked. imo it makes it look 100% better!!
tell me what you think

Heres me and my car at the dealer, you can see the black strip in the front

It was warm outside so when i took my credit card to my car it came right up.

After i got the corner up i grabbed on and started pulling!!! I have never done this before so i didnt know what to expect. but to my likeing it came off really easially leaving no residue.

almost half way done, my friend is working on the other side.

My friend getting the last bit from under the weather striping. not hard to do, the vinal stays together pretty well with out tearing. just pull the striping back a little and finish the job.

heres a before pic

and after!! love the way the white flows down now

there ya go all done!

I just wanted to do the front vinal to see if i needed to do the doors or not. i like the way it looks now so im going to leave the doors alone.

whole thing took about 5-10 minutes
what you guys think?

That does look good on the white . I wasnt sure if the white would look as good as the darker color xbs without the tape.......very nice.

it looks great other than that body line by the top of the roof. If it was me. I would shave it althou since it is an 08 I would be abit leary. JMO I think it would look out standing with out the body lines. what white is that. I am sure it wouldn't be hard to match it up. Sorry if my mini trucker mentality is getting in the way.

looks a lot better. I wish I had known about this on my car when I first got it but now it's been so long I know that tape isn't going to come off as easily.

Yeah that was what I was thinkng since the reason for the black tape to be there is to stop rock chipping. Im sure they had tested that area and saw it as a problem for chipping. Im waiting to see it on the FJ Cruisers soon since they are having tremendous issues from what Im hearing
