Its been getting out of hand lately in the "D & S Classifeds links" where people are not posting their item for sale originally in the classifieds section and then adding a LINK to the "D & S Classifiesd LINKS" thread along with a description of what they are selling.

If there is something confusing I put in the rules on the first post for that thread please let me know so I can add or change something. Normally I have been PM'ng people about this so they can change it instead of me just deleting it but I would prefer people to just do it correctly when they first post. I will leave all the posts on there right now alone until this weekend, after Friday if you haven't corrected a post by adding a link to a classified thread your post will be deleted.

I hope I'm not coming off mean about the whole thing, I really just don't want that thread being deleted by a super mod because its getting out of control. What we have to remember is that the ONLY reason we are aloud to have that thread is because I made it so you still have to post your item for sale in the CLASSIFIEDS section and follow the normal classifieds rules of a minimum of 50 posts and so forth.

When you post your item in "D & S Classifieds" you can add any information you want like individual items on a lot sale, or individual pricing, individual pictures, just please add that link.

Below is a great example of someone who posted their item with description, price, and picture but also the link. For all those who have been helping me by changing their post to SOLD so i can delete the post I truly appreciate your assistance instead of having to follow links once in a while to clean house. If more people could please remember to edit your post to SOLD when its gone I would appreciate it.

 

Why don't you just delete or close teh thread and start a new one?

 

I don't believe thats necessary. I have no problem going through it once a month and cleaning out stuff that needs to be deleted, but I dont want to every day or every week be having to contact people for directly selling in that thread which is against the rules.

 

^^hey maybe you can do one up like on vwvortex southwest region...they do a new thread every 3mos...the thread is titled like "For Sale/For Trade June-August" or something to that effect

Thats not a bad idea actually. The thread will then be deleted every few months and redone so if people still have things to sell they can put them back up. If people have any comments on that idea please post them.

I would still ask that people follow the rules of SL and post your item originally in the classifieds section.
