ime planning to put a aftermarket steering wheel (mom0) on my tc.but a friend of mine told me if do that ime gonna deactivate the entire airbag system on yhe car.is it true?does any one already did this kind of mods?

PM Rockblocker...Chad added an aftermarket wheel to his tC.

 

You do not have to deactivate the whole syste. All that will happen is that you will loose your airbag for the driver, but the knee one will still be there. Oh yeah and the air bag light will come on.

<-- has a wheel on mine too. Yes the airbag light comes on, but you only loose the one bag that you took out.

 

You can just disconnect the fuse for the airbag light can't you?

 

in a word, no. that will take out the whole cluster.

 

you could probably go in there and desolder the LED if it bothers you.

 

or use a CEL fix
