I have been trying to contact someone reguarding a job at a local dealership for like a month now, and I have not once spoken with the guy on the phone.....its like he doesnt exsist and they just forward calls to his imaginary line. Im getting fed.....

 

Your getting screened sir. Please go to the dealership in person. Get aggressive it pays.

 

I thought about that....but I did get a live person who told me he got my resume and app he was passing it to the department head.

 

I'd 2nd that. Go in person. Dress the part too.

 

That's what I tell people when they call to follow up on resumes just so I can get them off the phone.

Go down there. It may impress them. Or it may annoy them. But it will be a heck of a lot better than calling a bunch of times.

I only hire people who want the job, calling helps, showing up is even better. Dont be an ****, but showing them you want to work for them and not that you need a job goes a long way!

 

ok so i see that what we are saying is that i need to go down there and see whats up...

 

who were you trying to get a hold of? i can try talking to them so they can give you a call, but i have to agree, sometimes its better just to show up.
