Well it all depends, do want some type of power or pretty much no power. If you want some kind of power in the car, i suggest the TC. If you want something to just cruise in, then go XB.

You owe a lot of money on that truck. I wonder if you could get that much out of it in a private sale. Talk to Bryan at Camelback Scion.

Scion will not finance you if you owe more on your trade-in than it is worth. A guy at work had to buy a corrolla becasue of this situation when he wanted an XB.

You should definetly get in touch with Byron @ Camelback Scion 1.877.307.2466, before you call him do a little homework.
1. Build and print both cars that you want @ www.scion.com
2. Goto www.kbb.com and get a price on what your truck is worth, both as a trade-in and if you were to sell it yourself.
Remember any place that you goto is only going to give you what kbb says as a trade-in.
Also keep in mind the scions are pur priced, which means you will find a new one cheaper than a used one.
And last but not least be prepared to possibly wait a week or two for your car to show up.
The team @ Camelback are straight shooters and will not feed you any B/S.
BTW we are having a get together this Saturday night @ 6:00 pm. Come out and see what these cars are all about!

That's not true, it didn't work that way for me anyway. I was upside down quite a bit on a 03 corolla S since I had put nothing down, financed it for 72 because I was crazy, and not only that the car had about 40k miles on it and the car was not quite the same after a crazy rainy night in December on elsworth road dodging potholes. I think I was under 3000 on it, and that's with the dealership giving me more than I thought they would.. I just put 1500 down on the TC to avoid any chance of a loan rejection, but the dealership was gonna do it with 0 down. The interest rate was 5 instead of 7 and my payment would have been a few bucks higher than the corolla @60 months, but I really had to go with a shorter term than 60. because being upside down is embarassing and I just remember thinking "damn I just ate 3000 dollars and on top of that now I gotta pay interest on it". So that memory makes me pay an extra 20-30 bucks every time I make a payment just to at least try not to be upside down again, although I'm pretty sure this car depreciates fast so maybe I'm wasting money.

As far as choosing between XB and TC goes, I'd get the XB, in fact I'm getting one, it should be here soon, but I'm keeping the TC until something makes me trade it in. So far it's been extremely problematic for me, the only thing that doesn't seem to be a POS is the engine. But that could just be my particular TC, I don't know. The other thing that bothers me is coolness factor of the TC has worn off, in fact everything I used to like about the car I despise now, and to make things worse the car is becoming pretty common. I could go a week without seeing a TC, let alone the same color. XB is a pretty cheap car, and doesn't have any of the TC specific things that bug me, so I think I'm gonna be happy. I hope so anyway.

when i traded in my ford focus for my xb at cB they didnt go by kbb. in all honesty we got ripped off on the first offer, they gave us almost what we wanted on the trade in eventually but they gave us about 2k under what kbb.com said the focus was worth. they go by some auction that did not give us the value for the car we originally thought.

as far as tc or xb, i have never driven a tc but i know i LOVE my xb it's the coolest car. you get lots of looks, lots of mpg, and it's a fun car to drive. it is a little under powered but i used to get speeding tickets all the time now i dont. i love my box and i wouldn't give it up or trade it for a tc.

most of the times on a trade in you get 'wholesale value'. the trade in will eventualy be auctioned off to another car dealer.
