That would be cool. I have been looking for a group in phoenix.
I am in Mesa and I get my xB sometime between now and Oct. 1st. (Whenever it gets delivered
) I have a tacoma right now and I used to be a part of a pretty big group of tacoma enthusiasts and I would like that with my scion. Do you ever go out or have events with other scion owners in the area now?

I think it would be a great idea and i would not have a problem being a part of it. I think a good idea would be for someone to have a contact list for everyone that wants to give out there information and have somone send out emails and make calls to people so everyone can know whats going on. Maybe have a site besides Scionlife that can list events and have a sign off sheet that someone can be in charge of for everyone to see who is going to what event and what will be involved. Whoever can get this going please PM me and I will truly step up and do my best.

I know about that site and that it posts events but it doesn't have anything listing who plans on attending, alerts on changes for the event, stuff like that. For instance one of the meetups this weekend was at Sixshooters originally but that then changed to The sets. Unless someone went into the forums to notice the change they would have gone to the old location and not know what's going on.

Hi everyone,
Since I am the one that kind of opened my mouth and ideas this morning to Bryon, I thought I should say to everyone what I am thinking here.
I dont think we need a committee or anything like to arrange events. I feel we DO need a spokesman for the group for car shows that we plan to attend.
There are many reasons as to why and I will try to touch on some of them here. In case anyone is wondering where the hell I get off or anything like that. All I am doing is sharing my vast knowledge of going to car shows, running car shows and attending car shows over many years.
First - If we are to go to car shows we need to look like a respectible group? As of right now there are a lot of things in limbo for this weekends show.
Such as - how many people are going? What time and so forth. When attending shows we should roll in together so we look more uniform and cause the least amount of issues for the group holding the event. We do want to get invited next time right? It always looks better to get invited versus showing up. We want to look organized, right?
Do we know if there is a Scion Class for trophies? Are they offering any type of make trophies? If we had a large enough group maybe they would consider making a class for us. This is not to say that would be the case every event. Just thoughts. I have seen this done before where a club had to change their classes and only did for the people that contacted, lobbied and work with the group putting it on and those that didnt were SOL.
There are also has been talk with many people in this group to hold a car show for charity at some point in time. It would be really great if we had the contacts and working realtionship with the other clubs or groups in the area when that time comes so they can come to our event as well, right?
The list can go on and on, but I dont want to take up too much time and space here.
The After9 event with Larry Miller was just a good wake up call. Dont get me wrong I had fun and would do it again, just differently.
We had no idea where we were going. We had no idea where to park, how to park or anything like that. We prolly could have been judged if we had worked on the arrangements earlier, so people like Hot Wheels and Randode could have one something.
What I suggested to Bryon was this - Have one person be selected to work with the groups, events people or car clubs to make sure we have all the info needed and they do as well to make sure that eevryone gets the most out of the show.
If we do select someone then everyone is MORE than welcomed, ACTUALLY encouraged to find out the info for any show that we might want to attend and pass it on to that person in charge - (ie name, contact, dates whatever) Then this person goes to work and gets all the info for us to review, look at and decide if we are going to attend.
If I am way off base then please let me know. I just want is best for the group that shows their cars and wants to win some trophies while looking oragnized and out together.

Scionetics is set up to be fully functional for all of our needs.
The point about six shooters is exactly what were talking about.
The whole point of a SMALL committee is so our meets and communication among the group is more organized. IT IS NOT SO SOMEONE CAN DICTATE EVERYTHING THIS GROUP DOES! The group should still be the main decidee as to what we do and who we do it with. The committee or spokespeople for the group could contact event promoters, businesses, or places were gonna meet to ensure that things run as smooth as possible. And then to inform us via SL or scionetics with instructions and directions for each event.
Any other feedback?
