Shocking
This might be a stupid question, but is there anyway to stop the shock I get when exiting the xB? It’s really freaking annoying, this is the first car I’ve owned with cloth seats.

Man am I glad you said something. I never wanted to say anything thinking I was an idiot. My wife and I always get shocked getting out of the thing. She has complained about it several times.

I have 2 types of grounong kits, doent help much but maybe a little.
I have heard in the past that it has alot to do with the type of fabric softener you use. Drier sheets cause more static elctricity than a iquid softener.

***GROUND YOURSELF WHEN GETTING OUT OF YOUR CAR BEFORE REFUELING, YOU COULD IGNITE THE FUMES FROM THE TANK AFTER REMOVING THE CAP***

ok, when exiting the car touch the metal door latch in the jamb. hold onto it while you slide off the seat. then close the door with no shock. works every time.
Glad I can help everyone out!! :D
I think the fabric softner holds some credit, because it doesn't happen to me when I wear my ACU's which I air dry, when I'm in Civvies I get shocked.
