I was told we would be leaving at 8 AM to arrive around 12. I dont know my Highways so I couldnt really say which way to take or where we can meet up with you. As long as I'm not driving at 5 in the morning I should be ok.

Silver City has a noise ordinance after 8pm, so I would really not reccomend bringing Fireworks. Doing so is at your own discretion. Also I don't know a lot of the guys at GCSO anymore, tehre are a lot of new faces so I really don't recommend anyone drive with underbody lights on.

so thats how they get away with making Fireworks legal there, they make it so you have to light them off while the sun is still up and make it pointless :-p

We could take a short drive out of town if you really wanted to do fireworks. I'm down for it, and it would give you a chance to get rid of your illegal firework stash.
Later.

Well then I'm bringing them just in case :-D I'd rather get rid of them up there the risk doing it up here and getting a felony or something.

Ok - here is my input:
Let's meet at Krispy Kreme at AZ Mills - 10 & Baseline - at 8:00 a.m. SHARP. Please fill up your gas tank before you arrive. Wade, we can call you when we are getting close to Tucson so that you can jump on the freeway and join our parade o' Scions.

Whattya guys think?

I agree. Scenic is nice but we'll get scenery when we get to NM. Let's save the time on the driver and use I-10.

And let's make the 8-AM departure THE TIME. Stragglers can catch up or arrive in Silver City later.

There are some photo op spots along the way (Anyone seen Texas Canyon?) so we don't want to hurry to get there.

Wade, can you figure out a meet-up spot in Tucson?

Default Silver City Run

O.K.
Here's the deal : It's 200 miles to Silver City from Tucson......So we can meet @ I-10
and Craycroft there is a truck stop there it's the TTT truck stop 'and you all can top off your tanks if needed let's meet on the east side where there is plenty of parking.....
Also I think we should get a Cell Phione list going in case someone need to stop along the way (just a thought) also some of you N.M. peeps should give us your phone
#'s too so we can get ahold of you in Silver.......
If we roll straight to Texas Cyn. it's about an hour then Stop for all you shutterbugs (It is a way cool place) then the run to Lordsburg is about another hour and 10 minutes and we can stop @ Loves truck stop there, then it's about another 1hr. to Silver
From there it's a little tricky to get to N.M. state route 90 if you want me to lead from there I know the way we've only made the trip 100 times before and we can roll all the way to the Holiday Inn check in then Grab som LUNCH (FOOD!!!!! )The Lottaburger has great green chile cheese burgers!!!!!
wingsaseagles (ph:520-631-0232)

P.S. MTcX I would reccomend you leave your fireworks @ home ther is a really high fire danger in the Gila's and the Rangers would really frown on any boomsticks !!!!If you know what I mean............

Lotaburger! Very good stuff!

I always stop at Blakes when in NM!

About the Phone List.

Instead of posting them here... let's PM them to one point then share them in an email? I dunno... too much worry?

Alright, I'll send my phone number via PM to someone but I would definitely like to have a list of everyone's numbers so I can meet up with the group. Of course, it won't be too hard to ask someone, "Hey, you see any boxes rolling in a big group 'round here?"
Later.

And hey, Ray(aka rogcjms), I found a route through yahoo! maps that would connect us at the I-25 and Highway 380 Junction. I don't know if there are any gas stations there, but I would like to meet up with you all there and ride into town with ya. (lol...yahoo says its a 7 hour and 11 minute trip over 314 miles...make it in less than 5 but damn...meet in the middle my butt AZ people--lol jk)

Check it out. Later.

Steven

*edit--I can't link to the yahoo map...psh ____
