Hey, I might be goin' to college in NM (New Mexico Tech) , I was wondering if the cops hassle the tuners down there? I have an HKS axleback, and will have 20% tint, and 2" drop by then. Thanx in advance...

 

i was stationed in ABQ for almost 4 years, and my other car club is out there. the cops arent that bad. they will have their stints where they try and get everyone with a modified exhaust, but thats everywhere. 20% tint is the legal limit. you should be allright.

They are gonna get you if your one of those who makes more noise than you move. Also depends on your driving. Don't make any sudden moves either if they pull you over, APD has a shoot first and spin the publicity later lmao...

Nah most of the guys over there are easy going, just dont DWI thats the thing we are slapping everyone for in NM. If you have a DWI elsewhere to the sooner you get here the better, they just passed a new law where if you have a DWI from out of state you will need to install an ignition interlock in your car. (Think breathalyzier just to start your ride)

 

they usually dont hassel the tuners but do hassel the morons that speed on cruising streets............ Have fun in Socorro ......... middle of butt f*ck no where...... with nothing but dirt, tumbleweeds, and wind to keep you entertained....

ohhh j/k NMT is a big drinking college because well as mentioned before there ain't much else to do unless your an off-roader
