why can't my area have stereo comps all of the time rather than once a month like 4x's a year paying $30 to do one run?

congrats guys, what's your set ups?

I think your state was the one that banned audio to the point that if a person even says that they "heard your stereo from outside the car" they can impound your car and equipment. Not sure how that bill will fly, but that is somthing I read awhile back

ya my city they impound your car, others are huge fines, which sucks cuz they don't impound cars of DUI'sect..... i wish this was something that i could see about SEMA helping with, but it would probably be a lost cause with this government. i just can't wait to see what my new stereo will hit if i was hitting 131.9 w/ 2-8's that haven't been manufactured for about 6 years and i had pounding for 4. maybe i'll figure out if it's worth going to IASCA or SLAP show for ____s n giggles. lol

Exactly, most retarded law on the planet and as he pointed out, they do not even impound DUI cars *LOL* Freakin stupid old farts running the towns I guess.

Yeah I get ____ed off if a kid bumps his system at 1am in my neighborhood, but who cares on a city street at 1 2pm. Big whoop.

Would have to be a real *ickhead cop to inforce that rule.

they used to do that around here. and i was waiting for it as they follow me for exhaust since they can impound or ticket us for exhaust in the city i live in. yet they are too scared to pull over the ghetto donks for their systems and loud pipes but because i'm an import they will. that is why i hate illinois....no loud music, no side window tint, no led's/neons while driving, ect.......

I have 2 SoundStream T5 15's with a SoundStream PCA2000D amp. I really need another battery to power that amp though.

that's it? i figured for a sanction like that you would hit a lot harder, especially w/ the 9500 12". what's the peak you've hit? (sorry don't mean it to sound disrespectful, just shocked as i figured that would be 10x's louder with that sub)

I can't say I blame you for saying you hate Illinois considering it says you're from Decatur. I can't stand central IL either. I'm from Chi-town, and I spent 5 years at U of I in Champaign/Urbana. Chicago's a different story, though. It's awesome, although the weather's MUCH better here in AZ. But if it makes you feel any better, we can't drive w/ led's or neons turned on either.

I'm not sure how long you've been around in the audio scene or how often you compete but a 138 for a single 12" woofer in an enclosure and vehicle setup for a daily driver and listen to music is actually really good. My enclosure is tuned low at around 35 Hz so it plays super low and has really good sound quality when I'm not competing which is hardly ever. There are people at the competitions with CRX's that compete but the cars are not show worthy at all, the cars are falling apart, the boxes are all naked MDF with giant aero ports in the back. My car is a show car that I also use to compete in audio competitions but did not want to get stuck listening to horrible music just so I could hit higher on the mic.

the loudest I've metered was a 142.6 but that was a fluke and I have not been able to re-create that again so far. I"m not offended but just wanted to make sure you know that there's a difference between a car that does both car shows and audio shows and a car that just does audio shows. If you've ever been to an audio event you'll know what I'm talking about with the people that have a mini van or something just loaded down with batteries, woofers, and looks horrible but its insanely loud.

true that isn't bad. i just figured for some reason it'd be lourder than than like the 145 range because in the class i get stuck w/ is like 2-10's or 1-12 and they hit upper 140's and one hit 149.3 with 1-L7 12". that is why i was curious. ya i knwo what you are talking about with the cars that are falling apart. th eone CRX had too much airspace in the one 2 years ago that he couldnt even get a reading in the car because the preasure was too much for the HU (but forgot what he was running. people here are more nuts like my buddy's aztek w/ 8-10's or a guy i used to work w/ that had a sunfire w/ a wall of 12-10's or the one guys who have an outlaw cavi station wagon w/ 1 treo 12 that hits 168. (people here that actually do it go huge) that is why i figured that you would hit at least 145 average as i know my buddy used to have 2-12" mtx's (dont remember the line) and he was hiting 153. but sorry for the off topic remark, i was just curious

Scott for being tuned at 35 and hitting 138 is pretty darn respectable and not many can do that even when they think they can hit 170 deeeee beeeeeez hahahahahaha. Congrats
