wife's tunnel carpal syndrome has made driving the Xb a major pain,
so it's going in as a trade on a new ride. now the trade in price isn't the
worst but when it came time to price in the aftermarket wheels they want
to give me only $250 more than if it was riding on steelies.....




....talk about depreciation. i'm having trouble sitting down.

Thats why its almost always better putting it back to stock before hand...Sell the rims outright, make up some of the loss that way...

 

you aint kidding! just a pain to swap the tps's back into the
stock rims but your right that's the way to go, i'm on it...

Why don't you sell it? If you do, how much would you sell it for?

 

well the dealer is offering me $13,000 for it and that cuts the sales tax
on the new car by $1,100 so it's the same as selling the car to a private
party for $14,100. even though the car has only 12k miles on it i wasn't
getting any interest in the car when i had it listed at $13,500...

 

it's an '08. i have the stock wheels and tires i pulled the day i bought
the car, it's a pain but i'll swap the tps' and list the takeoffs later...

 

What car is easier for her to drive?.. I know earlier honda's have awesome powersteering.. could turn m with ur pinky

 

it's not the steering, it's that the Xb is a manual. new rides will be an auto...

 

I agree with Yelosub. Always a good idea to put it back to stock as much as possible before a trade in.

 

The stock wheels are worth more to the dealer then the after market ones. Kinda weird as you would think it would be easier to sell with some cool wheels.
