That's where my boyfriend is from, a little town called Bishop, about 45 minutes south of Mammoth Mountain. Let me know when you want to go, maybe he will be able to coordinate it with a trip to see his family!

IMHO...

No Mammoth! Mammoth is a great mountain and an awesome town, but not much going on as far as nightlife is concerned. Plus it is a ten hour drive and if we get up there when it is snowing, we are all screwed!!!

I am working on a couple of things for us for this winter. I am in contact with some buddies in Summit County, CO and also sent an e-mail to the Group Coordination Manager at Snow Summit in Big Bear, CA (only 5 hour drive). I have been to Big Bear a ton of times and the rooms are usually about 250 a night, but could sleep 6 to 8 people, depending on couples and things like that. In CO, should get a decent deal through my friends, but they haven't set the pricing for February yet...

I will keep everyone posted on what is to come! Gonna go to CO for Thanksgiving if anyone wants to come, let me know!!!

Sounds good KoolAiD. I was thinking more along the lines of Big Bear too. Keep us posted. I can't wait to go snowboarding. I only have one trip for sure right now.

definitly snowboarding. its too damn cold now to enjoy cali and cars at the same time. lol.

but im definitly down for some snowboarding. im planning a few trips right now. maybe utah?? park city? if we r talkin about 10 hours to mammoth its right around that long to park city. and theres a bunch of bars and clubs in the salt lake/parkcity area. the beer is weak, but enough of em will still get ya drunk.

To Big Bear would not be a problem. It is just outside LA so you don't have to worry about the roads as much as some of the more Northern destinations. However, it is hit or miss when you get to the mountain itself. The other 4 1/2 hours of the drive will be no problem.

Hittin up CO from November 22nd through the 27th. Just gonna be staying in Frisco with my boys! Probably will ride Vail most of the weekend, unless Steamboat or TRide get pounded on!!!

Cool. I am planning a trip in December. Vail is a little pricey for me. Awesome though. Maybe you got some connections you would like to share. I would like to go in November too, just not sure when or where. We will see how Vegas goes this weekend.
