Why wont it just die
Wow, I would of figured anything over 10k would of been considered a total. Oh well, guess it's what makes a Scion rock to begin with (oh and all the cool people that start talking to you ;-) )
my car had 9100 dollars in damage and they didn't total it (a picture of the damage is on my profile) original estimate by insurance and auto shop (less than 6k) low and behold, it was more than 50% more expensive....scammers. insist they check the car again. perhaps have them put your car on a lift to check underneath the car, i had extensive damage to my suspension that wasn't caught by the insurance guy.
whats even worse is that i put 5 or 6k down on my car, had 1500 dollar trade in and had already been paying my loan for about 10 months...so i had less than 8 grand left to pay on it, so the damage was more than what i had left to pay, but not more than what the car is worth, so no total... how screwed up is that?

also i am screwed now on resale value as well...you are probably even worse off. try explaining that to car max....it was only 15k in damage sir, it's still good. look at it this way, its close to 90% brand new! go and smash up your car some more and tell them to come back...but not really because that is called insurance fraud and is a felony.
