Default Your not safe anywhere!!!!

Sorry for the long post but I thought this should be shared...

Monday nite I had to take my wife to the ER of Banner Desert for severe stomach pains. We arrived there around 3:00 pm and began our long wait in the waiting room. While there I heard some people talking about a vehicle that had been broken into. One of them said a small blue boxy vehicle which immediately sparked my interest. I walked out to my parking spot , not but maybe 7 spots from the front door to find my side window blown out. I immediately went to the security officer to let him know what had happened but this wasn't new news to him. Apparently he sat there and WATCHED IT HAPPEN. I asked if he said or did anything to stop them and he told me there were three guys what was he supposed to do...I offered many suggestions to no prevail, his job as he told me was to deter theft and he did everything he could.

So after my 10 hour wait in the waiting room to have my wife seen I got to determine what was stolen from my vehicle..Some of you may know that I work at Rockford Fosgate and have quite a bit of equipment in my vehicle...I will list what was stolen just in case someone approaches you with a too good to turn down deal on any of my old equipment...

1- T20001BD AMP
1 - LA1.300.4 AMP
1 - RAVDVD2 - CD/DVD/7IN/MP3 PLAYER
1- OMNIFI DIGITAL MEDIA PLAYER
1 - GLOCK 17 9mm
4- BLACK XB HEADRESTS WITH 7" MONITORS IN THEM...YES THEY TOOK THE WHOLE HEADRESTS....
And since they couldn't get the subs out they decided to just destroy them...

The vehicle has been dusted for prints and there is a full investigation ongoing..any info would be greatly appreciated if anyone hears anything...I have serial numbers for all equipment and most have been altered in some way to match the vehicle paint or something...Once again any info anyone happens to come across would be greatly appreciated, I like to see someone go to jail for this one...

Not only that but I have two gouges in the back panels that look like screw drivers marks and the dash is absolutely destroyed...it's at a body shop right now and for estimates on the dash and body panels...

oh I would be so going after the hospital for lack of security. I can't believe he just watched them take ALL of that equipment out of your car and did nothing. I've had 3 systems stolen so far in my life, my next one i am going to have covered on my insurance just in case and I'm getting the top of the line alarm with a camera that will send a pic of inside my car to my remote. I'm tired of peoples lack of respect for other peoples stuff.

Man this thread has got me hot now just thinking about that, the fact that they stole your gun is pretty scary too.

That just great -- Barney Fife sits there watching your car being stripped and he
didn't even call the cop's. He reminds me of one of the so called security guards
that used to be at my wifes old job. How is your wife - is she ok? The car and it's
belongings can alway's be replaced, but not the love in your life.

Take Care
Ray

just proves that you can not have anything nice anymore. I cant believe the security there, that is sad for a hospital.

If it was parked near the door, perhaps a security camera caught the whole thing on tape.

Does your box have a security system?

Great. Now there are theives walking around with a stolen gun. You know what happens with those, innocent people get shot. GREAT. Sorry to hear about your ____ getting jacked. A lot of stuff happens in hospital parking lots, someone dented my dads side case on his motorcycle (wtf??) I guess trying to steal something. Also I will add that this proves my point of getting a decent security system before modding your car at all. I'd have that security guard reviewed to see if maybe he wasn't in on it.

The vehicle is secured with a Clifford Matrix 3.5x security system, but the two-way remote doesn't work well inside the brick walls of a hospital...as for the security tape, the detective has told me the tape doesn't show undisputable evidence against any of them, including the security guard...another dead end...

Sorry to hear that this happened...and to think "security" does nothing...My wife worked at a hospital and whenever someones car was either being vandalized, stolen, or broken into, we had good ole "security" to call the person that owned the car to let them know what was happening...
They wouldn't do ANYTHING else BUT that.
Rediculous....

I rarely recommend suing anyone, but in this case I think you should explore the possibility of suing the hospital and/or the security company that employed the security guard for negligence. I'm not sure that they are obligated to provide much of any security, but if they decide to do so, it is required to meet certain standards...
