Not sure if you were actually asking for this info but here it is if you were:
New Illinois Window Tinting Law

have window tint on both front windows. Here’s the breakdown:
New Illinois Window Tinting Law

You brought me down first, you reminded me that there in fact is no summer in Chicago
And, although, you are right about the nice roads, it's nothing to look forward to because they never get finished in a decent amount of time. They start like 400 projects before actually finishing one first

I talked to a buddy who's a cop and technically you could prob get away with 25-30 on tint cuz he said departments aren't going to go out and buy a bunch of readers especially on their tight budget.
Still waiting for updates on plates. Secretary of state hates (dunno why cuz no reason to) and cops hate it cuz they claim they use it to make sure they know which car to go after (hard to do that with cars goin 65-80 on highway

Maybe where u live u could get away with that tint, but i live really close to chicago, they're aholes here! in chicago its a $200 ticket but any of the suburbs outside it, its like $25 bucks.. its so stupid. ill take the $25 but i'm in chicago alot.
and I so hope they pass that no front plate thing! OMG! i'd go cut mine off ASAP!!!!

This law wont be passed and thats as optimistic as I can get. Think about it, if there is a hit and run or something along that line, people need to see the plates. The ticket cameras need to see front plates. There is no way this law is ever gonna be passed in Illinois, especially not in Chicago when there is a hit and run every week.

Shhh!!! im being optimistic!
how helpful are the front plates really? or the rear as a matter of fact! i wonder how many ppl think they read they plates right when there's a hit and run or anything, but infact they read em wrong. specially if there's a hit and run they're not idling away, they're gonna speed away like a mad man. good look reading that.honestly alot of ppl can barely give in detail what the car looks like.
"it was black and old" .. cuz yeah that helps..
and as far the cameras.. well lets not get me started! they almost always read the back plate anyways. i doubt they'd be loosing any money from the cameras if we didn't have front plates.

no offense to any cops out there.. but half the time when u call a chicago cop, they won't respond. specially if it's the end of their shift. My friend witnessed something not too long ago and called and they said "oh they'll be out in about 20 mintues". really guys?? yes let wait 20 minutes maybe by that time these 2 vehicles could have killed or injured someone, cuz that's exactly what we want, right?
chicago cops arent allowed overtime because the city has no money. well if they could save a million bucks by not printing front plates, i think they should.
I think it's rediculous that we'd have to wait 20 minutes for a cop to show up just because its the end of his shift and he isnt allowed overtime. What's more important, money or the life of a person?
