Front Plate
This law wont be passed and thats as optimistic as I can get. Think about it, if there is a hit and run or something along that line, people need to see the plates. The ticket cameras need to see front plates. There is no way this law is ever gonna be passed in Illinois, especially not in Chicago when there is a hit and run every week.
I talked to a buddy who's a cop and technically you could prob get away with 25-30 on tint cuz he said departments aren't going to go out and buy a bunch of readers especially on their tight budget.
Still waiting for updates on plates. Secretary of state hates (dunno why cuz no reason to) and cops hate it cuz they claim they use it to make sure they know which car to go after (hard to do that with cars goin 65-80 on highway

Exactly plus chicago is a bust. What makes you think a city with the highest taxes in the country will get rid of front plates? Front plates give them money. Chicago politicians are a bunch of crooks.
Haha true that but let me clear up what I was explaining. Chicago is a city who has enough ***** to charge their citizens with the highest tax in the nation. This means they are money hungry. You dont just get a front plate for free, it still comes out of the owner's pocket. People get into accidents, not only are they paying for a new bumper but they are paying for a new plate. This is how Chicago earns their lunch money, simple as that.
I don't know if you realize this, but you buy your plates from Illinois, not Chicago...
Renewals went up to $100
anyway, got a $20 nuisance ticket the other day for no front plate. Good thing he was a 'nice guy' because I didn't have a current insurance card for the XA on me & let me go on that one...Lucky me!
