I heard from one of my friends that they AREN'T doing a show next year. Due to lack of security from last years?

Anyone can fill me or others in?


I was hoping to do it in '10.

The country is in a recession. Car shows are an expensive luxury. They probably figured that they wouldn't be able to make a profit on having two shows next year.

 

besides, lack of sponsership and spectator turnout prolly didn't help any. I called this move last year or so ago. I mean, not even a mention in the magazines anymore. I'm disappointed yet not surprised.

 

looks like i wont miss anything when i head to europe then. i'm surprised since they usually pack it and entry fee is high as hell (considering DUB only charges $25, gives you free stuff and has big name entertainment )

 

idk what media coverage DUB gets from Chicago, but I'm sure it could be better than HIN since they have their own magazine. eh, I suspect that there will be a pretty quiet show season for the midwest while Cali continues to have all the cool stuff

not the same anymore. now, its just a bunch of aimless people desperate to attach themselves to the 'next big thing' -- inspiration and creativity are at an all time low there

i was intending to debut my car at HIN in May.
guess now i have an excuse to take longer.

 

your absolutely right Raul. I know whats going a little. I have stopped tryin to keep up with my car and rather build the car to the period in whick it was popular. so most parts will be from that 99 to 05 timeframe

well, that being said, we all should promote the coming show fro not just Scions, but everyone wit a cool car from the midwest. make this the biggest freakin HIN we've seen in 4 years
