You need to write up some proposals, show that you participate in Car Shows, and show/tell companies why they should sponsor you. It Takes a lot of work and time. Being in the right place at the right time also helps. Sponsors also like to see that you have spent money on your car and that it is appealing. If you car is stock, than don't bother looking for a sponsor....

present yourself not your car. the car helps but they want to get people that they know will do a GOOD thing with their name.
write up a proposal w/ good english and u have to be lucky also.
and do not do that carsponsorhip website thing, that would be a scam, where at the very best u get crappy products

Well they are very hard to come by. Getting a sponsor is not about what they are doing for you it is about what you can do for them. If you have a stock car it does mean you cant get sponsored. What you have to do is a great good propsal and a good show list. Then more shows you go to the better. If you have mods it does help. I got sponsors for my car before it was even built. It is just how you present your self to the sponsor but remember most sponsors will make you sign a contract and you must do what it says. I know with my AEM deal where ever they wanted the car I had to get it there on my dime. So if I was in chicago and they wanted the car in texas I had to go no matter what. So it is not a easy thing to have sponsors. I hope all helped you and I wish you the best of luck..
