you gotta start somewhere; when i go boost next year or year after i'm not going over 7psi being an auto cuz i dont wanna fry the tranny (it def cost more being a/t because have to get a/t cooler, oil cooler and kit costs more)
very true but clutches can go just as fast and almost cost the same if pro installed! a a tranny rebuild!
but i think it will be fun the cars almost paid off so i think its time!

dont go cheap lol it'll end up costing you more in the end. i had a buddy that runs a shop and builts turbo'd cars suggest an oil cooler and if you're a/t then a tranny cooler as well. make sure you get it tuned after everything is good to go. and when doing the line from the oil pan, get it welded to prevent oil leaks (i've been doing my homework on turbo kits fo rthe last year or so lol)
yea my buddy has a welder we planned on welding in a bung for the oil pan. as for going cheap what do you mean? cheap turbo /parts? i have a tdo5 turbo i got from a friend with intercooler, pipes new ssqv bov new wg spring.pretty much all i need is a few gaskets my wide band and managment new injectors too but those can wait i believe.
ive been researching myself i found its safe to run with no managment if boost levels are very low like 4 to 6 psi (like the stage 0 zpi kit) but still need some kind of managment to be safe. i wont be installing anything till i get all the parts i need so i am thinking this might turn out to be a good winter project!
all i need now is a winter beater! lol
so whats new in illinois?
