Default Legal Matters

Where do you go or look, to find out what's legal to add to your car? ie, tint, headlight, tail lights, drops, all mods. Do cops even bother you over here in hawaii about your mods or pull you over and say "hey, that's illegal!".

I would assume your state has a DMV site which lists all the rules. Headlights and tail lights are pretty standard--they have to be DOT approved and the right color.

This is the law for hawaii... the answers are all in there but it'll take some time to get to them as they are all written as a legal document..
