any one know if a Euro style Licenses plate is illegal in Texas?

 

they are illegal if your state requires registered front license plates.

if your state doesn't require license plates on the front of your vehicle, then i imagine you can put anything you could reasonably want up there, but it they require displaying registered tags on the front, then they would be illegal...unless you have them both on the front i suppose.

 

there not illegal aslong as the state front plate is visible, but i hope ur not putting a euro plate on the xb lol

europlates.com pretty cheap there and u can get japanese plates too

 

i got my girlfriend a euro plate for her mini to replace the texas front plate, but it has the exact plate # as the texas plate on the rear. and so far (fortunatly) she hasn't been pulled over for it.

i'm tempted to try it, but my car attracts alot of attention, and i still havre warrants.

i actually bought mine off of ebay. the plate was $29.99 WITH the frame and bolts. but i think it was overseas. i paid the expedited shipping and it came to me in less than 3 weeks. regular shipping was less than 3 months. the total was about $50. i'm gettin mine from europlates.com cause i didn't know the plates came in yellow. once i saw it i made up my mind.

me an wayne have custom euro plates.... we both havnt had problems wit them.... mine is on the front dash cause i do not wanna drill holes in the bumper...... an also josh aka slim had one on his front bumber on his box an he was never hassled for it... even tho the tx plate was on the back... we drove all over tx wit it.

 

all over texas and outta state also.. lol

 

i have a Japanese plate for sale =) it says VVT-I and i forgot wat city its from in japan

 

I got a ticket for no front plate, went to court judge asked for proof it was on, ran outside, leaned it up in the bumper (xb1) took a quick pic, put plate back in car and ran back to court, free to go!

 

dude i think we all have gotten a ticket for no front plate...lol i got 3 of them since ive had my box...and everytime i get it dismissed....judges hate those kinds of bull____ tickets...lol

yea dude ame thing everytime.....man...take a picture with the front plate on and the judge is like ok cool....sit down and wait until i dismiss you......

those kinds of tickets are whack ....they are just a waste of time for everyone
