Default Glass replacement in Houston, TX ???

Well, somebody just shot out my back glass tonight about 10 pm.
I was on the computer and heard four pops that sounded like a small cal pistol. But since fireworks are being popped already I thought it was firecrackers, until my alarm went off and I heard the ricer fart can muffler accelerating down the street. I go outside and my back glass is shattered with one small hole in it. 1 out of 4... pretty bad shooting.
Probably some punk kids horsing around with their mammas 22.

Anyone know somewhere to get hooked up with a back window in Houston?

My front windshield has a big nasty crack in it from road debris, so I might do both at the same time... Hopefully its not too much money.

I've heard the back glass can run upwards of $1000. Call your insurance company, they might have separate glass claims, or at the very least, they can recommend a place for you.

With the back glass being shot out, I'd recommend filing a police report while you are at it.

They replaced my back window last year. IIRC it was about $260 after tax.

Uniglass replaced my Windshield 2 years ago. IIRC it was about $120 after tax.

I called the cops outlast night when it happened. They took pics, looked for the casing and shell. Took all my info and gave me a case number.

I doubt it costs $1k.
My guess is around $400 max for the back window. At least that's what I'm hoping. I'm actually HOPING for less

Thanks Ice! I will be calling them soon!
Did you have to take it to them, or did they come out to you?

What company did you end up using?
Did they offer a warranty, and are you satisfied with the service and the glass?

I need to replace my front since I have about 20 cracks in it.

My front windshield is good.
You can call around all the auto glass places.
My only beef with the front windshield is the molding that gets used for aftermarket windshields. It doesn't look factory, but it doesn't look too bad either.
I'll try to post pics. I called around a BUNCH of places and they were all about the same $105-$120 installed. You have to go to them.
My back window is another story. I don't know if they weren't used to doing back glass or if they were just being sloppy, but they scratched my paint all the way around the back window. You have to get up close to see it, but its there.
I went back to them the next day and talked to the owner (since i didn't see it at first cuz they had it all taped up)
He said that they would pay for the repair, no problems. Straight up guy. I thought I was going to have to argue with him but didn't have to.

Sooo, I'm ending up getting my glass replace for free, with a little extra cash because the repair is going to cost about $400.
They didn't give me a hard time at all.

I'll try to post pics of the replacement molding around the front windshield. If you are super **** and picky (Like me), you wont be happy with it. But if you are low on cash (like me) you will get over it real quick because it doesn't look that bad.

I had my windshield replaced a few months ago at Uniglass for $110.
The molding they used closely resembles the stock molding.
The only downfall to Uniglass is that you have to take your car there to get it done and it isn't in the nicest area, both roads and crime rate.

I wish I knew before hand about the molding thing...
I think I can live with this one though.

The guys over at Uniglass are excellent. I was leery of taking my xB there after looking at the location and then seeing Uniglass on Street View, but they really did an excellent job.
I called there ahead of time to get a price quote, then told them I was headed that way in about an hour. When I got there, the guy at the counter put me in line next, ahead of several other people who were already waiting. When one complained about it, he told her that I had called in already and booked an appointment! lol
