Not necessarily cure as good, but you'll have about 2-3 times longer a wait time between coats. A general light coat of car spray paint will dry in about .5-1 hour in 70-95 degree heat with low humidity. Colder or more humid weather will expand that time drastically.

they make plastic primer and plastic paints. I got some at Lowes.
Homeboy with the pink xB over in Irving - he like took all his plastic out and went and baked it at a body shop or something - I asked him about it. It is to get all the mold release agents out of the plastic so it will accept paint better. But he is like a body guy or painter guy in real life for his job - so he knows what he's doing....
When they make plastic stuff, there are chemicals used that make paint not stick so good. Additionally - the surface of a gloss smooth piece of plastic isn't good for paint to stick to either. That's why people are saying sandpaper...
I did no sanding - just used plastic primer, then paint. I bought some cheep a$$ primer, and it was pretty thin. Many thin coats worked better for me than one heavy coat of primer. It was worth the time in results to put on several very light coats vs. a thick coat.
