if you try to go cheap you will, but thats true for just about everything.

if your that worried you can go supercharger and keep it "stock", should something go wrong its under warrantee. and you don't have to "upkeep" the supercharger like you would with a turbo.

yea i know 'everyone' doesnt have issues but the % is pretty high. i wouldnt go cheap on something like this since poor quality parts will def kill an engine. right now i dont see it as an option because of the cost to power increase ratio. this is my dd and i just need something that i can always depend on and messing with the engine might cause it to be down

one of our members that 'had' a s/c is finally getting rid of it because he has gone through 4 motors already. all under warranty.

i know your thinking that he wasnt taking care of it but he was, the s/c would just fail or the install was not properly done by the dealership. something would happen and he would lose oil pressure and the engine would seize

 

well then keep it n/a lol

one thing with saying too many bad things about turbos or superchargers. you only ever hear a lot about whats wrong with them, never as much as them being good. Even so, you said your friend got everything replaced under warranty, then there should not have been times where he was without a car, if his car can't be driven cause of something under warranty, then he should have gotten a rental. when/if somethings up with mine i get a free rental.

 

the tC is still a girl car unless you go F/I... plain and simple

well my sc sucks... but i think its casue toyota didnt reflash my car... or they reflashed it wrong.. cause something aint right!!

the sc is installed right and isnt broken just my engine keeps leaning out. and its not warranteed cuase i didnt buy the sc from toyota..

thats one of the reasons why i went and bought new. i didnt want it to be down for maintenance. i have a 1968 chevy truck and i was always working on it. and im still working on it

 

Oh so marcial im keepin the car gettin it fixed... probably gonna keep it N/A.. but u know im movin right so ill have tons of extra cash around! so im thinkin gonnna redo my wheels, hood and hatch.. um coils and such... oh and get my front end redone..
