I need to get my manual Tc2 transmission gear oil replaced. Some say don't touch it even at 90k miles if it's a standard but Im thinkin to heck with it, if someone rough handled my new boy I get repulsed at the thought of him shiftin gears with tar black gear oil.
​​​​​​For those who have changed their tC2 manual transmission fluid, should I get it flushed as well or just drained and refilled. What's the standard price for this procedure?
I also want to get some other stuff checked out on it..Pep Boys had to round off the oil filter housing, said it needed replacement plus the small CV tear I have is a _____.

• As far as the gear oil in the trans is concerned, you can't "flush" it. You simply drain and fill it.......since you live in Texas........ Find any 15-year-old kid who lives on a ranch and have him change the fluid (no doubt the kid has more experience changing fluids than a professional at Pep Boys). Give him $20 and be done with it.
