Dylan is making progress every day! As of Rich's last email, Dylan had not yet opened his eyes, but he was off the respirator, breathing on his own, and the doctors were removing the drain and had closed up the brain flap.
These are all good signs of recovery after brain surgery.
We still need to keep Dylan, Rich, and the rest of the family in our prayers.

Hey everyone. i was told about that yall made a prayer list on here and had to see it. thank you so much! this means alot to me and my family. scion community is awesome, and i thank yall for all your prayers. tonight is the first night i have been home to my house since august 3rd when he was admitted. hard to go home, but my mom is there with him, so i can get a few things done.

here is a update on my son dylan:

dylan did have his brain flap put back in on thursday. he has alot of problems, some are life threatening, and some are just for the rest of his life. i do know now that dylan will never ever walk, talk, eat, or see ever again the rest of his life. he will be in a wheelchair, and is having a permanent feeding tube put in his belly on monday. he has severe brain damage, and only 15% of his brain was not effected. he will be in the hospital for many months to come, but will come home to me. i will keep you all updated when i can get to a computer, but i will keep everyone updated with texts.

i do have a question. does anyone know a scion dealer or someone that can install a wheelchair ramp into my xb? its a 2004 r.s. 1.0 xb. i need all price and availibility to get it and install it. entire rear end is all apart already, no backseats, and easy to work on. please let me know asap.

my email is : richmanxb26@yahoo.com

thanks again for all the prayers, and please keep them coming, i am asking for a miracle

Richard,

Here is a topic I found on here of some xB's with ramps.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and Dylan during this difficult time.

Rich, whenever things settle down and you've got some time, give me a call.
I am sure that we could design and build some sort of setup with an automated wheelchair ramp and integrate it nicely into the xB.
Tell Dylan we're praying for him everyday.

I have a brother-in-law that had a stroke a couple of months ago, and one thing I've seen...... is that the power of prayer cannot be underestimated. If you can't give, at least lift up a prayer in his name to your "higher power". I hope and pray that the angels find favor and bring him home.
