Hey you decided to join the navy? I thought you were going to join the airforce? Well good choice I went through basic over 3 years ago I know a lot has changed but if you have any questions or concerns about boot let me know. Id be happy to help.

yep the air force wouldnt take me since i have the holes in my ears and the navy would. plus i dicked around with the air force for about a month and then said screw them after that and went to the navy and within less than a week they had me going to MEPS. it will be pretty fun

The Navy has better training programs than the Air Farce. I just hope you picked a job that will get you a job after the Navy.

Nope not active I got out in '99. That whole Marine/Navy thing cracks me up. At least Ryan didn't join the Army That ought to get a some people fired up

Best of luck to ya ryan I tried to go army but couldn't pass MEPS seems like everyone cool has been in the military at some point much respect to all of yall past present and future

Sorry, didn't mean to start WWIII. Ryan just try and get into some type of medical field. Then you might get to at least hang out with the Marines. And you can dress like one too. No swabby bellbottoms

hey man we dont wear bell bottoms any more but camis are much better then our uniforms!! but we are going to be switching to bdus in the near future. I respect the marines more than any other branch of service though nothing but love to all who have served!! (but I cant wait till my enlistment is up!!!)

From what I heard he is going to be in some kind of elite unit that deals with jets.

Hopefully he will be a mechanic, that's something you can definitle use in the civilian world, right Vaughn?

As long as it's not an artillery mechanic like I was.

Well Im an aviation electricians mate (AE3) its a good job if you like working in really small spaces inside of jets and helos and you get to work on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier. (if thats the sort of thing you consider a good time)
