One thing I may never understand.

1 - how do cars with whack paint jobs get awards?
2 - YOU ARE IN A CAR SHOW....CLEAN YOUR FKN CAR!!!

it was awesome finally getting to meet a lot of the people i talk to on different scion boards. you guys rock

i for one feel that judging was less than acceptable.

this being a scion show, i expected a lot more knowledge from the judges. this is the very exact reason why many scions do not represent in their own scene. i know that many have different opinions and there are more than just one route in modifying your cars but i truly expected some kind of UNBIASED judgement from SCION OWNERS and those who say that they have been in the SCION scene. what's done is done, many of us did not go out there to win... but to get our "works of art" belittled because some are not educated in different styles of builds, LOL.

when fully customized vehicles get less points than a stock car. come on.

lol I didnt even see yours til you pointed it out. But there were quite a few others in there that did absolutely no cleaning at all.

And I am also all for what lilenginethatcould said. The knowledge of the judges was FAR less than average. I was very disappointed in that.

i agree wit you as well, most of ''us'' who do hit the majority of scion shows/heatwave/ misc carshows as well as HIN carshows. know whats up wit the rides. we all talk amoung ourselves an im sure most crews do. about how did that ride get placed..... we've all been down that road of mis-judged an looked at cause of what we add'ed/cleanness of the ride/ etc. i usually go to go an rep my team. im not in it for the trophy i go to support my freinds an make new ones. an to say ''we came,we saw, we conquered'' an when we win we take it for the team win. i for one saw 3-4 rides out there wit nothing but JDM which ment straight bBist.... an yes the judging was WACK..... they need to bring in an outside team wit some knowlegde of scions to actually see what has been moddified/switched out/added to the ride. not just particular in paint/wheels/electronics.... like most carshows around houston are known for. an not just one set of judges atleast 3 sets for each class given. so they can all look at the car at the same time..... so u have one looking at paint/rims.... ICE etc... an overall cleanness/fabrication.... of the ride........ i knew in my head already who was going to get somthing or atleast place...... an it sadden me when it wasnt an outsider who was not picked to have the JDM award.... i saw a nice display wit all his JDM mod's listed..... plus bB on the ground. an also ned from dallas had came out wit his RUMION COROLLA. 08 white scion... with nothing but JDM as well. but he didnt stay long. sorry for the rant but it had to be said.

man nice pics people .....had fun till the cruise...then had fun after the cruise.....i think some one should post up the result...but yeh all in all i left third of xa's and won a pair of 15s..plus buddy of mine trew up like 3 times becuase of the syrup shot.but he left 2nd .man what a day......

Thanks for the kind words j0n...sorry I left early 'coz of disappointment but that's another story. It was nice seeing old friends again and meeting new ones. JOY, you're ride is off the hook, one of the cleanest Gen1 I've seen in TX...props!!! Oh and thanks for giving me the name of the Pinoy restaurant, I went home stuffed.


So.....who took home BEST JDM???? Just wondering.

And, I'm Sorry, did I read that one of "the Outsiders" didn't win JDM.......

I had a feeling about the judging when I saw my score card. Mine ain't a show stopper, but the car was clean and moderately modded. I know my car ain't gonna win anything, but man I had to laugh when I saw my sheet.

All in all, I had a good time, but I missed the cruise and the awards ceremony.

Almost forgot.....WHO WRECKED THE XB?
