I probably should read the whole thread but it is very long. I'm new to the Houston area from California. Work in Sugar Land and currently live in Katy. Just dropping in to say whats up to everyone here. Anything a xB owner new to the area should be careful of? Besides getting used to making U turns? I'm hesitant of putting on my 18's since the roads out here are a bit rough.

I haven't been on SL for a year or more, but this should be a good place to start meeting people with common intrests.

Anyway good to meet "y'all". Did I say that right :D

 

its yall lol no apostrophe but good start. the roads are rough but asl long as your careful youll be fine. If you need anything let me know . Oh and as long your on 610 loop or beltway 8 you cant get lost they both loop around houston and hit every major freeway. but beltway 8 ia pay toll way. ! pm aim/yim me if you have anything questions.

 

WOW a fellow Californian...what part of California did you live in...??? I stayed in Orange County. I live in Sugar Land now and roam around H-Town alot heheheh. As for the 18's...I think you should be fine. A lot of people ride on 18's and I haven't heard of anything. I ride on 19's and still doing just fine. Well if you ever need anything let me know. Just send me a pm or something and I'll be more than happy to help you out. OH YEA...the yall part...you'll get use to it...it'll come natural to you.

Thanks. I have my EZTAG already and been on 8 a lot. Co-workers keep laughing at me when I call the freeways/highways "the" 10, "the" 99, "the" 8.

GPS has come in handy but there is so much work going on that they aren't very accurate in some areas.
