Supercharger Pulley problem

Default Supercharger Pulley problem

So they told me my supercharger's bearinings are shot and i need to pay 4000k to replace and install it, my scion is a 2008 with 20k miles, my belt has totally come off because of the problem is this common? does it sound like thats the problem? shouldn't that be covered under warrenty? any help would be great thanks!

who installed the supercharger? if the dealer did then it should be covered under warranty. the s/c has never been known for reliability exp the bearings. you may want to hit up Gompka or Kikcaffien over in the forced induction area about this problem for more info. gompka used to sell upgraded shaft and bearings for the supercharger and may have some of that stuff laying around.

if your car has only that many miles and the supercharger was installed at the dealership and you haven't done anything in the engine bay yourself or after the fact then it should be covered under the warrenty.
