Want your windows tinted cheap?
Okay guys, here's the deal: I used to tint windows but have not done so in about four years. I started about four years before that. I started out just doing auto and then also did flat glass later on; commercial and residential. So, I have a young friend that just got out of mechanic school on the east coast and he definitely would like to have his own car shop someday. Not a cheesy I'll fix your car for $30 kinda deal, but a full shop that can do all kinds of mods to your car, from tint to stereo to turbo to suspension etc. Now that day is a long way off as there is no money to start a venture like that, but, I mentioned to him that i would help him learn how to tint cars if he wanted and I still have access to major film distributors and yesterday I showed him how to shrink a back window in one peice and fundamentals etc. Since I know that you can only become good at it thru practice, we need cars to tint. So, for a while we would like to offer to tint, I would be there doing it as well, for only the cost of film until he gets going good. I don't know how long this will take. We are already doing his dad's car (Rousche Mustang), my wife's car (Buick Celebrity), my father in law's car (four door Honda Accord) and we will re-do my xB just because it is mine and I can. So if you are thinking about getting tint and do not have the grip, let me know.
Now, my philosophy on window tint, I have read many posts on here about window tinting and what people think and what they have had done. It seems lots of people have had 3m window tint done. I started out using 3M and in its day it was considered some of the best, it is a thin and flimsy film. It seems 3M's pride kept them from keeping up with all of the advances and technology of the industry. Plus the 3M stuff I have used has turned purple after several years. All that being said, If you have it on your vehicle please don''t get upset with me b/c I have not used 3m in several years, so they could have improved from then, but all of the pro's I have spoken to recently won't work with it. Most use Suntek or Madico. These two offer a non-metalized film, ie it won't mess with your radio reception or radar detectors or gps.
To sum up: I have access to lots of good film, new from the distributors and I'm a really good guy looking to help a young guy accomplish his dreams. Let me know what we can do for you.

Thanks for all the pm's, I'm gonna go look at an xA and tC today after work to see how much film it would take for each one and then I can give you guys a better estimate. He was floored last night when I told him we are about to get busy!

Hey broseph give me a cost on a xB, 2 front windows on a altima and a complete redo on a 91 240sx. on the 240 you will have to take the old one off and redo it.
Also what film are you using?

Damn, I've been wanting to get mine done too but you are way too far from me. I dont know if a 10 hr drive back and forth is justified
Maybe I'll hit you up whenever I go to Dallas. Haven't been up there in over a yr
