HAHAHAHAHA

I think this is the BEST description of a MOD yet...

You cant forget that they like to lock whatever they can because they are too afraid of anyone discussing something in a PUBLIC forum that was created to DISCUSS things...
Ahh, but on to other things..

Anything you do to a car is a modification if you think it is. Hell, if someone paints their car an ugly azz color, or colors, they still have a mod, just not one that someone else will think is good.
If it is for a car club you would just need to specify what mods you would consider... Honestly I think tinting is a mod, when I tinted my first tC it made it look 10 times better. And when I tint this one it will totally bring the car together.
If you see a white tC with a CF hood and Black wheels with a poslished lip and it ISNT tinted it will not look NEARLY as good as one that is tinted...
If you dont agree with me, well, you are wrong and you should start listening to what I say, because its right.. hahaha..

They just not lock topics/threads but can ban people too

On a serious note:

Car modding is when a vehicle (usually a passenger car) is modified in an attempt to make it look better, to have better perfomance, or both. Major areas of modification include engine performance tuning, suspension enhancement or modification, exterior modification, and interior modification.

Scion offers accessories, not options. Toyota doesn't make most of the parts if any of the accessories.

does this count as a mod.

i completed my transformer conversion! mess with my 4x4 but now and see what happens!

imo what didn't come on stock is something i had to modify, granted some were easy bulb swaps but whatever.

So if I install a bunch of TRD parts like the suspension, it is not a mod because Scion offers it, but if I put Goldlines on it isa Mod? Except for the cruise control I wrenched every part that I have added excluding the tire/wheel install and I used a lot of TRD parts. It felt like I was modding it when I was sliding around underneath it....lol

If I buy a Chevy with no options, take it home and install options/accessories I could have gotten already on the car when I bought it from the dealer - parts right from their parts department - is THAT a "mod"???

Why should it be any different with a Scion?

Buy a box without the foglights and rear spoiler, stop in and buy them a week later, put them on the box yourself and it's a mod?

No, it is installing dealer accessories without paying the dealer for labor.

Now that grill emblem up above - THAT is a mod!

I would say yes, especially since most of them are not Scion made or branded. Chevy has options as well but not in a sense that we can get, IMO.
-for some reason i wanna point out how wataburger has its own special ketchup but Mcdonalds uses regular heinz... dont ask me why i wrote it, i felt i needed to, I wonder what response it will get.

============================

To me anything that was added to what a Stock tC/xA/xB has is a modification.
sure theres a scale on how drastic a mod is though.
like one to twenty: one is like bulb swaps and 20 is like anything that requires extensive custom modifications.

Guess the moon discs I used to have on the box were a mod, then.

The chromed, engraved dragon on the grill is DEFINATELY a mod, the scionlife.com vinyl on the rear window must be, as are the aftermarket wheels and tires. *smirk*

Oh! And the grill itself must be a mod, too! Non stock color on a Polar White...

Hmmmmmmm... I wonder about the K-Mart floor mats... Must be a mod, along with the 3M paint protection film on the nose.

Lesse... would actually having a CD in the head unit count? It doesn't come with one, and this one is a custom seven hour MP3 CD, too!

I didn't realize how custom and modddedd my box was.

I consider my yellow fuzzy dice a very important Mod. I am confident that they add at least 3 hp to my rocket. Besides, they are the only illegal Mod I have on Old Yeller.
