First 50 registered receive free dash plates. There are free goody bags, give-aways, raffles, voting, food, drinks, indoor seating, vendors, and much more. Register show vehicles for $15 that day or check our website for preregistration. FREE FOR PUBLIC SPECTATORS. The registered show vehicles will fill the 150+ parking lot so register and come early! The show will be followed by a semi-pro wrestling event inside the hall. All proceeds benefit the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department. Oh, and if anyone would like a flyer sent to them via email. Just email me at the address I had included;
arbutuscarshow@gmail.com

PS: The Scion Exposed Car Show in Aberdeen, MD was well done. Streettrenz was there and should have photos up in the coming week in their galleries. Streettrenz, Delmarva Bikini Team, and other vendors and sponsors are considering appearing at this car show!

tnert000,
The address is:
5200 Southwestern Blvd
Baltimore, MD 21227
I hope to see you there.

redrumtc,
I hope it all works out for you!
What type of forced induction are you going for? I am pondering the same for my tc...

x-box,
It is almost 3am, but here is the list of trophies=
-People's Choice [4 foot trophy!] *[Voting by public & registered vehicles]
-Best of Show [4 foot trophy!]
-Specialty Award
-Best Lighting
-Best Exterior
-Best Interior
-Best ICE
-Best Paint
-Best Club
-Largest Club
-Best 4X4
-Best Fullsize Truck/SUV
-Best Lowrider
-Best Classic Car
-Best Import
-Best Domestic
-Best Engine
-Best Theme
-1st Ford/Mercury/Lincoln
-1st Toyota/Lexus
-1st Scion
-1st Honda/Acura
-1st Nissan/Infiniti
-1st Dodge/Chrysler
-1st Chevrolet/GMC/Cadillac/Pontiac/Geo
-1st Mitsubishi
-1st Subaru
-1st Mazda
-1st European (VW, BMW, Mercedes, Mini)
-1st Domestic Other
-1st Import Other
-1st Muscle/Hotrod (1951-1982)
-1st Classic/Antique (1951 & Below)
-A handful of 2nd place trophies based on which make(s) are most present at the show (so if we get a lot of scions there, there are more possible trophies, even though Best of Show, Best Import, 1st Scion, and 3 other Bests could go to a Scion.)

As far as judging. We are seeking a third party for judging that would have no bias and have experience in judging at car shows. PLEASE (ANYBODY) let me know if you know anyone that can do this for us in the Baltimore MD area. If not, the back up plan is that myself and other car enthusiast firefighters and EMTs that have attended car shows will judge and we will not have any of our vehicles included in the show. I have been to a few shows where politics plays the roles of recognition and awards and that is something I strive to prevent. Just imagine this show being the best ever and we will work from there. Thank you all. Feel free to leave me any further ideas, questions, and/or comments.

I will post a list of the sponsors and vendors attending the event in the coming week or two. Keep posted.

UPDATE:
There should be a few car clubs coming, plenty of vendors, sponsors, including the Delmarva Bikini Team (models+photographers), Year One (Goodybags & more), and a couple other big names. The quality trophies are coming from The Larry Beck Company.

*Prospective vendors/sponsors please email arbutuscarshow@gmail.com*

Ok everyone, don't forget to PRE-REGISTER to save yourself a spot and a couple bucks on the fire department website:
http://www.arbutusvfd.org/carshow.htm

Judging will be done by some members and some non-members of this fire department. The judges are not affiliated with any car clubs. There are judging sheets based off of a point system and the judges are screened for competence in our hobby (For example: no judge is going to be like "oh, that looks pretty, you win!" Judges have to be savvy in the field they are judging). These measures are all done to be fair and considerate for everyone.

Update: For any people that are bringing trailers and require additional space and set-up time, please come in early around 10am. At this time, we have at least 4-5 trailers so please come in early or message me ASAP if you or your friend/family's vehicle needs the above but cannot arrive earlier than 11am. Thank you!

Also, what do you guys think about having a tattoo contest, bobbing for fruit contest, and other contests for this event? Any feedback from people attending the show and even those that are not is appreciated! :D

Thanks!
