Default Any Maryland Automatic Tranny TC's Interested?

TurboEast.com is looking for any local Automatic Transmission TC owner (Mount Airy, MD ) to allow some R&D on their tranny for a valve body upgrade and Electronic Shift Kit upgrades. PM me for information and I'll shoot you to the contact.

I ordered their Lexus E.S.K and should have it early next week and installed. Results will follow. However, the valve body upgrade which will certainly make these transmissions thump needs to be done locally...I'm sure a free upgrade is in it for who ever signs up.

Right now, they only do this for the Lexus series...so I trust them with our TC's.

Definitely put this in Mid-Atlantic region, I'm sure there'll be someone interested. I'm pretty local to them but fortunately I'm manual.

turboeast has it for the Lexus IS300 and Kenny at ZPI said it is the same for our TC. I will confirm as I'm wiring it up next week.

The valve body upgrade has to be done by them at first to map everything out.

Now THAT would be cool.

Well, here is the info on the Electronic Shift Kit from their site - Per the Lexus IS300

The TurboEast ESK eliminates sloppy shifts, hanging on the rev limiter, and allows transmission to shift with up to 320 rwtq with no internal transmission mods. Includes new and improved circuitry and a aluminum enclosure for improved heat dissipation.

This is the Valve Body Upgrade

The TurboEast Valve Body Upgrade cleans up the sloppy and slow stock shifting. Shifts are firmer, faster and more responsive. Developed for turbo, supercharged, naturally aspirated and nitrous applications. All stock functions along with E-shift are retained like stock.

And for the really power hungry (axle bending)
The first power failure point for this transmission is the sprag also know as a one way bearing. This upgrade should allow your tranny to hold over 500 rwtq. The next failure point in the stock clutch packs. Replacing of both the sprag and clutch packs will hold over 600 rwtq.

In a 1/4 mile drag, the auto's only problem is high rpm launch from the line. But the advantage will "shift" back to the automatic by the first shift because staying in the power band 100% of the time and shifts that are slams as opposed to gliding as we do now or pushing a clutch on a manual 4 more times.

Well, the electronic shift kit is $200. If even more thump is needed of 350+ hp, then the valve body upgrade kit should be used and that's like $450. Mattssi said he bought the ESK until he went high boost, then sold that and got the valve body upgrade. I may go valve body upgrade, but I want to see what the ESK will do for stage 0.
