In maryland tint is a secondary offence. They have to pull you over for a primary offence first. One of which is not having a front plate, or speeding or having a light out.

^^^thanks for the pm! i dont know if it will work for i had my tint done before getting the waiver and i dont know a doctor that would sign it for me. plus, ive already got my front retinted to the legal amount. thanks for trying to help thou. if i go to court and lose then ill have to pay a lot more than just the ticket. i havent even checked how much the ticket cost but i believe its around $70 to $80 in virginia. dang!

Just have your tint done to the legal limit (allowing atleast 35% light through) and the cops can't do anything.
Also, according to TintCenter.com, in Maryland there needs to be a sticker between the tint film and the window stating that the tint on the car is legal. This sticker needs to appear on each window. im sure they can make the sitcker virutally invisible so as not to make the tint look back

and if you had the amount of money i have invested into the interior of your car... you would want it to be dark enog that someone cant just walk past it and see inside (35%). where as with 20%, you atleast have to get really close to the glass to see in. so im thinking getting pulled over again (which im sure i will in the future), ill just take it off, get it inspected, and put it back on. but im gonna call the MVA today to see what i can do for a tint waiver medical wise =]
