Hampton Roads

For some reason, this area is completely devoid of scion enthusiasts. I find it interesting though, I see a ton of moddified scions, but never see any owners online. Before I even had my car I was here on SL looking around and posting.

There's one that hangs with Scion Faction every once in a while, but I know of more around here.
The car scene is pretty good. If you seek stuff out, it's definately there for you. There's weekly meets all around here. There's a place here, a landing strip in langley, where they run drag racing on the weekends, 5-10 dollars to run provided you have a helmet and seatbelts. And you know about the AutoX.

To be fair, Kirk does go to school full time and work, and judging by his FB posts, he studies a lot at the library there in his free time.
Also, looks like they changed from the strip to the speedway, either way:

Langley hosts Wild and Wacky Wednesday which allows anyone with a helmet and a street legal car to participate in the Time Attack, Burnout competition, and/or One on One Drag Races on most Wednesday nights during the season.

The scion scene use to be huge about 4 years ago. You have a Scion Evolutions chapter out in New Port News, 7 city scions and scikotics Hampton Roads Chapter.. Then everyone either moved on or PCS'd... I'm the only one left in the are from 7 City Scions that still owns a Scion.

Sorry to dig an old thread up, but I am from Newport News, and just bought a 2006 tC that's in great shape with only 69,000 miles on it. Love the car, as it's a lot of fun to drive. My only issue is where to find a shop in my area to buy accessories and parts. I'm not planning on getting too crazy with fixing it up, but would like to do a few things. Wouldn't mind getting a little more of a growl out of it, but don't want it to have that "fart can" sound.
