I don't know where to start really. When we started this project only 2 months ago, I never really expected the turnout that we had. I felt the day went off without a hitch, other then the weather really.
We expected 100 cars, and planned to feed 200. At one point in time I counted 83 cars, yet I know there was a crew from Deleware that came in later in the day. So between folks leaving before I counted, and peeps coming in later, I feel if we didn't hit 100 cars, we came very close.
There are quite a few people I need to publicly thank... 1st and foremost are our people at Scion Central Atlantic Region. Without the financial backing and sharing of ideas, this event never would have been more then a few burgers. Mike Medella and Mike Wirth have given me personally, along with 1,000's of other individuals so many opportunites to create an idea and follow it. They truly enable dreams to come true without the stress of finding ways to finace the project.
Secondly, my brothers and sisters of Scion Evolution. There were alot of responsibilities that we divied up in running the show and there was no way I could have done it my own self. Huge thanks to Andy for running the food area all day and making sure that, along with cleanup was handled by our volunteer staff. That was a huge weight lifted off of my shoulder. Jeff, Melissa, Amanda and Sean, your support the day of especially, along with all of the encouragement and background work in the months prior were so key in successfully kicking this thing off. This was a team project and show, and I hope you guys are as happy with everything as I was.
I'd like to thank our sponsors for sure. There were a couple of companies that willingly sent us product without even being able to make the show.
-ScionPro donated over $400 in product giveaways, sending enough things for 10 people. Without a doubt in his mind, Steve graciously got the things here in plenty of time, and I truly hope this community supports him, the way he supported us.
-KillerGlass donated two radiator pieces, one for the tC and one for the xB. They also were trusting of our staff at Scion Evolution Pa. that they would get the most promotion possible, without physically attending the event. I'm sure the two that won their product will be extremly satisfied with them, and I can't wait to see the pictures of the installed pieces. Big thanks to Tim of Killerglass for all of your support.
-Vitamin Water donated 20 cases of XXX and Formula 50 for the event. In donating the amount of drinks that they did, we were able to cut out almost $1,000 in beverage budgeting that we then used in our 40x35 tent. The tent was bought in case it rained, and while we're happy we didn't need to use it, it was because of their support that we were able to prepare for the worst. I personally love Vitamin Water products and went to them with little hope. Suprisingly, because of the relationship with Scion in the past, Dominic and Ange were so willing to not only donate the waters, but get it there the day before, ensuring we'd have everything we needed. They also gave me the dope 50 cent display model that sat beside my car all day. Yeah, 50 digged my car for sure
On top of those venders, we had a slew of companies show up to help out during the show.
-ClearStar Media Group came out with some of the dopest xB's I've ever seen. I was a huge fan of the High Society xB featuring all the suede and the fishtank in the back. They also had the completly computer ran xB on air ride that was a major eye catcher. At their table they had plenty of parts from Road Magnet, Stroup and my favorite, Junction Produce. They also managed to hook up my Grandma's electric Scooter at the event, so props to my new friends over there at Clear Star! I can't wait to work with you guys on future events. They gave away a few t-shirts, an xB Jada toy and $100 in gift certificates.
-PTuning shut its shop down for the first time ever on a Saturday just to come out to our show. To me, that was the biggest honor of anyone at the show. They came out in full force with a collection of Scion Evolution cars and that time attack tC with the extreme bracing and removed roof. That car was my favorite tC at the event, simply because of how different it was. I hope everyone got to check that car out. On top of shutting up doors for the day, the team at Ptuning also gave away $150 in gift certificates and t-shirts. They are the #1 shop in our region at tuning Scions, and I wouldn't hesitate for one second in referring someone to them. If there is one shop in all of the East Coast to take a Scion to.. its them. Thank you so much to all of you guys that came out.
-No Limit rims got in contact with me less then one week before the event yet still managed to put together a dope booth. No Limit has done all sorts of vehicles for celebrities along with quite a few Scions in the Baltimore Md. area. The No Limit owner himself is a new Scion owner, and I'm sure that will help convince them more to start doing even more work with Scion. Huge thanks to the team for making the journey north to help out their team. They donated $100 to the shop, yet I think the winner of that, if I recall correctly, actually just got some wheels installed there, lol. Im sure he's a happy customer that will find some way to spend another $100 there
-Creative Cartunes donated $100 to their shop even thought their hands were tied with working on one of the East Coasts finest xB's. Ian and the guys from Creative willingly sent $100 to our event even though they knew they wouldn't be able to do a booth the day of. I look forward to seeing their work in Viet's xB, who just so happends to be last years defending NCCA global Scion champion... and Scion Evolution member.
-Lastly, we all need to thank Chris and his girlfriend of TheHotStickers.com for donating nearly $1,000 in product and giveaways to the event. Chris voluntarily made 200 t-shirts to giveaway at the event and then turned around and gave us $250 in gift certificate support to hand away. The lucky "grand prize" winner of that will hopefully be spending that on some ridiculous vinal work by Chris. I forget the name off the top of my head but know it was an xA or xD owner. Chris, sincerly, thank you so much for everything you did to help us promote the event and most importantly, to support the event. Not only are you a great friend, but an even more supportive teammate. You are always so willing to go out of the way for your fellow Evolution Teammates and family, and I don't know that you get enough support in return. From the bottom of my heart bro, thank you.
Nearly a dozen owners will be showing for free the next two weekends at Tuner Evolution in York Pa May 17th, and Carlisle P&S May 9-11th.
Jay and Jeremy of Tuner Evolution came out and picked nearly two handfuls of cars and gave away free registrations. They also supported our show HUGE in the ridiculous amount of DJ's from Basic 717 that they hooked us up with. The crew of dj's traveled from as far as Atlanta to make our event a success with dope music. Thank you Jay and Jeremy, I'm lookin forward to May 17th, when I get to party with you guys again.
Ill be at carlisle this coming weekend helping Rich out with the P&S show. Rich picked out 2 cars this weekend who's lucky owners are now going completly free. Carlisle is one of the oldest import shows in the area, and every year seems to be even more successful. Make sure you all support both of their shows, the way they've supported you, and us.
Shoutout to my boy Impulse! Dj Impulse is my personal DJ of choice that I will forever call apon to mc my events. I made it a point of putting him near my own vehicle just cause I knew I was gonna be spending alot of time near there. Impulse plays all over the east coast and you can even find YouTube video's of him battling Funk Master Flex in Las Vegas. Impulse does dozens of Scion events every year, showing up in his dope two toned xB.
Rsin was our artist extridoniare of the event. It wasn't something we had really planned on until I found out he was coming and offered him a spot to do some live paintings. Lonniea.k.a. Rsin really stepped up to the plate though when he offered to giveaway his live painting. It knocked me off of my feet as our staff at Scion Evolution had been looking for something to get for our district/region manager. It was the perfect opportunity for us to use something that was unique to the event, as well as personally inspired. Thank you so much to Lonnie. I hope this event returns 10 fold what you gave to us this weekend, if that is even possible. I look forward to seeing your work again at Tuner Evolution as I hear now through the grapevine, you were given a special invite by Jay and his staff this weekend.
How about Tuika? Was that guy awesome or what? They managed to embarrass me on stage in good fun, while letting me check out his wives hips and coconuts...
The weather was quite cold, yet they willingly came out in scarce clothing and put on an amazing show. It was the perfect ending to a succesful event, yet totally "Scion" in the originality aspect. Thank you so much to all of Tuika and his staff, we look forward to working with you again at a much warmer future event!
Lastly, thank you to everyone that came out and supported the show. Without a big turnout, I can't say we would be able to do this again. But as I was told, this event was one of the largest ever seen by the region. We left this Saturday night, with almost no leftovers, and alot of trash, which is always a great sign
Everyone was so respectable in keeping things clean that it honestly made for a very fast cleanup. Our entire staff was out in less then an hour from Tuika's wrap up. My only hope is that you all enjoyed the show, as much as we enjoyed throwing it. This is something we are looking to do annually, so any compliments or complaints, please share so we can better ourselves. I also need to thank everyone that donated money to Nick and his wife, fellow Scion Evolution members. They're story is a sad one, that we are hoping the love of Scion community members can impower for a difference. Check out http://www.helpafamilyadopt.com/ for more information. Look for more events this coming year that both Scion Evolution and I personally have going on. You can find these events at ScionEvolution.org. I personally have two more events upcoming in August including WrEvolution '08 and a club fashion show. More info on both coming soon.
PLEASE post comments and pictures! It was a bad day for pics, but I know we've got a ton out there, so please provide links. I hope you all got home safely, I myself decided to snap two sway bars on Saturday night that prevented me from traveling to VIP. Pics in another thread upcoming.
Thank you everyone! We look forward to seeing you at upcoming events this summer, and we'll all get together again this time next year for round 2

:edit... I forgot 3 people... Sgt Fluffy (Corey), Honda Chris, and my roomate Jeremy. They worked with Andy all day in preparing the food. Corey is the only Scion owner, so Chris and Jeremy really gave up a day of their free time to help us out with our Scion event. Thank you so much for volunteering your time guys. It made for a more relaxing day on our ends. I really don't know if we can thank the three of you enough. Corey.. I expect to see SE stickers on your car very soon.
