This Started off as a S2K meet, and slowly turned into something bigger. I wanted to post the info here in case anyone from the nova area would like to come join in the fun. I hope to see many of you there.

Come one, come all, to PTUNING's 1st annual S2000 Meet / Dyno Day!

After having a long conversation with e3opian, we came to the following conclusion..... PTUNING would like to host a meet for S2000 owners. Furthermore, we'd like to show off our shop to the people who may have never heard of us or would like to get to know us a little better! If you have friends that would also like to attend, feel free to invite them! We're looking for people to come chill and hang out with us for the day and just relax and enjoy the damn good company of fellow car enthusiasts!

*We have PLENTY of parking and spaces here at the shop and we would all love to see our entire parking lot STUFFED full of RWD goodness.

This is a regular business day for us so we'll be able to sell and take orders on parts as well as schedule service/installs!
We can perform select services during the actual meet so let us know if we can help you out with an install or an alignment!

Basic Rules
1. Be respectful of other peoples cars. Please do not touch a person’s car without their consent.
2. Alcohol allowed (just use common sense).
3. Chairs are permitted everywhere, but no please do not take up entire parking spaces with them.
4. No saving spaces.
5. No burnouts or anything stupid that will put spectators or PTUNINGS facility in harm’s way.
6. Other car platforms are welcome also!!

***READ ME!!!

This is how it works:
- Need AT LEAST 8 CARS confirmed and pre-paid prior to the dyno day in order to actually have it!
- Pre-payment can be taken over the phone OR PM'd to a certified PTUNING rep.
- Cars that are confirmed to be dyno'd must be in good running order! We like to keep our dyno and dyno room clean so if your car is leaking any fluids, etc., we reserve ---PTUNING reserves the right to refuse dyno time for any vehicle that is not up to standards for safe dyno pulls.
- Maximum of 12 cars can be dynoed.

I've been thinking about this for a few days and I'm very interested. I have a Tc with cat-back and intake, so it is nothing special but I would love to dyno is for S***ts and giggles. I mostly want to see some of pretty sick cars im sure will be in attendence. Would that be ok?

 

Or would I be shunned for bringing a not highly modded FWD?

 

No the rules say they have to be respectful of everybody's car. So they shouldn't talk smack about your car until they get home and laugh about it on their respective forum.

How much to dyno a RWD car? Same as FWD? If I can find time, I might bring down my BMW.

 

Dont laugh, but for science I would like to dyno my Insight without the IMA system engaged to see what the engine does and where its sweet spot is. I tried to do this last year, but not enough people signed up. I do have a few mods, mainly eco mods and I have a plug in kit that supplements my electrical needs for 4 hours.

Id be interested in any mods for the Honda DSI engine if not the Insight too. I need to change my cvt fluid, I understand you sell the ENOS synthetic cvt fluid?

IDK Cobb...this dyno might not read that low...LMAO. I think the lowest it has seen is 88 whp from a stock xA/xB

 

The engine is a dual vvt 1.3l that the early Fit/Jazz used. I think 88hp is about the peak without the IMA assist. I basicallly want to see where the torque crosses the hp for that sweet spot. Then if possible anyway to detect if the newer insight has lean burn like the previous model does.

An xa tested at 88? I owned one of those cars, I didnt think it was that low. Now a geo metro, yeah. But then you only have 1300 lbs of car too.

Not sure if you saw my Mercedes 240d, I think it was rated at 52hp.
