competition is always good and makes us all better so if ur "king of the scene" i'd like to dance with u
i dont recognize many of the names on the list so i figure i'd find sumbody to compete with who isnt brand new.
not being an ahole just looking for sum fun =)
i wouldnt call myself the king of the scene haha and i wasnt trying to come off ahole either
but yes competition is always good and i dont want to head out there and be a full .5 sec up on everyone. in fact i hope i come in 4 or 5th overall.
also this is a parking lot at a school so i expect that horsepower will mean next to nothing. the tires i'll be running arent anything special, they are equilvant to what i'd run on the sti everyday. but they are much better then the all seasons would do, and they are a 205-40r16 so i'm picking up a wider patch and reducing sidewall and overall diameter to shorten up my gearing a bit, which should help it coming out of corners.
also if anybody has any questions about setting (tire pressures!!!) or technique feel free to ask (i'm sure blown xa and AcrimoniousBear will feel free to help too) i hope to get some more scion owners hooked on the sport and to have some fun competition out there

lol ok capt. lol too bad ur not an ahole. it woulda made it more fun roflmao. but friendly competition is whats up too! roflmao
and yeah like capt said. im willing to offer any help i can to anybody who wants it. im no dan gardner but i've been doing this for a few years and i'd LIKE to think i have a decent grip on how to do things. its VERY good to see so many folks trying out or being involved in AutoX. im hoping this sends a message to corporate to lay off so MANY shows and try doing performance and autoX events more often!!!

hey, do you receive a confirmation email or anything to make sure that you've been registered and able to run? i sent an email on the 15th, and never heard back from anybody, and the number just rings and goes to voice male where a greeting completely different from tim hyden answers.
I got back from this event just a little while ago. It was well worth the trip up =P
Decent amount of Scions representing and plenty of cones were beaten to the pulp... The company was great, good food, and plenty of nice rides... I'll def. try to come up to the next event as well. =D

def good times yesterday
my gf and i had a lot of fun and can't wait for the next one.
in case some of you didn't overhear, the owner of newark scionworld is building a large lot (5 acres which is huge, the lot yesterday was about 1 acre) for storage purposes and they would like to be able to hsot autocross events there as well in the future. Doug and Sasha were sounding very excited about it yesterday
. I'd like to thank Tim for setting everything up for yesterday, it was def a blast.
