An UPS rant
I ordered an oil pressure gauge, a water temperature gauge, the hardware to run them both, and a gauge pod for them to go into my 1987 S-10 Blazer. I ordered the stuff from Summit Racing. I've ordered from them countless times and have always relied on UPS Ground for shipping. Since Summit's warehouse is in Akron, OH it only takes things 2 days (3 days max) to get to my door. This order was no different. The difference about this order was that the box looked like it had been stepped on, stacked in a pile with it being on the bottom, etc. I opened it up to find everything in perfect conidition, but even some of the boxes inside of the big, single shipping box were crushed up a bit. The box even had "Fragile mechanical contents inside" on it.
UPS will be getting a phone call tomorrow morning.

Dont waste your time calling them.
Do you know anyone who works or has worked for UPS?
On any given day at a local distribution center, there will be literally thousands of packages damaged, broken, opened, etc that go into a claim area to try an be dealt with.
Someone who works for them may not even be responsible for your package being damaged. It could be another UPS customer. There are plenty of times that an awkwardly weighted package will fall over while on the belt and hit another box like yours and crush it.
