That is one over-priced car. That's the same as an Acura Type-S w/leather. Over $800 for the stereo? F that. I think you could get a little more for a RS than a regular Scion w/similar accessories, but depreciation kills you in that first year.

I don't agree with parents buying their children cars. Very few respect the car and even less deserve it.

Have you tried the post and courier?

Hey, if someone buys a kid a car, who gives a flip. I just think this particular case is funny because buying the car and selling it so soon was basically like flushing a few grand down the toilet. Parents should do themselves and their kid a favor and buy the kid a used, reliable, fairly safe car with a little "cool" value so they don't hate it. Although, if your kid is, say, Hillary Duff, you can probably afford to get her a brand new Mercedes and shrug it off. I really liked my first car, my parents' slightly-used '90 Ford Probe GT, and I treated it like a baby. At least this guy's daughter knows her dad means business...lol.

See this is why when I turned old enough to drive my mother told me if you want a car go out get a job and buy your own. I was 16 worked every day and earned my first car. I then sold it worked more and bought my 2nd car. I am now currently on my 5th or 6th car (Istopped counting) and all my cars were either purchased by me or financed by me. My mother refused to help me and she only said when I am older I will respect that and understand and believe me I did. And I will do the same exactly thing when/if I ever have kids. I have friends whose parents bought them cars and they beat the hell out of them and had the attitude that it doesnt matter they'll buy me another.

I personally agree with this guy selling his daughters car.. He gave her the car and told her to talk care of it that its her responsibility and she failed to do so.. Therefore she should suffer the conseguences of losing her car. Sure selling it off may be a drastic measure but she will learn from and besides his kid, his money he should be free to do what he wants.. Best of luck to you sir in that sale..
