I think if a cop wants to stop you they WILL stop you. Even if they are legal i would rather not have to go to court. Court SUCKS!!
I just got my underbody kit done but I think Ill only use them on smaller side roads and stuff. NO highway. It just makes you a big target for the piggies.

True....They WILL stop you. But in TN, if they do, it's always fun to:

1) Get a Day off work, by pretending to be tied up in court all day...

2) Beat the Cops at their own game....

[bNOTE:[/b] This only applies to people who are on Salary. If you work by the hour, then your S.O.L.

I normally just pay the fine early and avoid court all together. Even if I know I'm innocent, I feel sooo paranoid.

That's prolly what I'll do this time too. If I pay early, they won't ask if I removed them or not....just pay and leave!! That's what I like to do.

I'm not sure how much for undercar neons. However, if memory serves me right it was $65 for the license plate neons(that was a few yrs ago). They ripped me off. I have paid them a ton of money in the past for 35% window tint. The cops look for tint in GA.

NOT ILLEGAL

1) Neon lights of any color that are NOT performing as described above. If they are just stationary lights, then they are NOT illegal.

How do I know this stuff, I've been to court 3 times, fought it 3 times, and Won 3 times. But then I realized they were RICEY anyway, and took them off. I just had the washer lights on my old Corolla, never had the underglows. But on an xB, I probably would rock some underglows. The xB is suited for such.
Ah! Thanks Rhythmnsmoke! Although going to court and winning would be fun...I got better things to do. Maybe I'll just work on some incredible body graphics! Cant take me in for that...as long as I keep em PG. :D

You should come to some of our Scikotics meets. Go to Scikotics.com and find the regional section for Nashville.

No matter where you live the cops are gonna bust your ***** (sorry ladies) for underbody lights and what nots. In most states they are illegal on the street. You can have them on in parking lots or at shows, just not while your driving down the street.

All you need is an off/on switch and a little self control when cruising and showing off!

The cops prolly have kids(or even themselves) that rock undercar lights! I wish I were a cop. I would drive around and NEVER pull anyone over for such a small offense. Don't they have crack houses to raid?

Default Illegal in Tennessee

I have a RS 2.0 XB with 7 color underbody LED kit. I wired mine to a switch placed under the oven (storage bin ). I only turn mine on at shows. I have read so many posts about cops pulling you over for these things. My controller is in a cubby beside the steering wheel, so I can easily see when they are on ( controller lights up ). I had always heard that blue, red and amber where the colors not to use because they where reserved for police, fire or rescue. I will have to research this further. For shows I set it up for a random color pattern and sequence. Other times I just set it for green with no sequence. At least no one has complained about my LEDs in the headlights. They glow green at night.

All I can say is in memphis the cops could pretty much care less. Go out of tn and well the cops get a little ____y about it. Several friends of mine have had blinking leds under their car that changed colors and the cops don't bother them.

I was in the Army @ Fort Campbell until I got this civilian gig back in Iraq. Man I would love to come check out the Scion shows. I drive an 03' Echo but show me some love! I get more feedback/info from the Scion community than any other. I wish I had of gotten an xA or something

Rhythm is exactly right about the under-car neons. I checked w/ the Clarksville PD personally about 6 months ago. They can be on, but not blinking. Btw police will pull you over just because they know most people will just pay the ticket and not fight it. Ever notice how nice and new the roads in the Fort Campbell area are? Alot of people donated

I think I want to be a cop too

Exactly right. As long as they are not flashing you are ok. Just avoid red and blue and you should not have problems.
