Default My Fun Tennessee Road Trip

What a fun state to visit! It's good to see something else besides Chicago. My trip started in Memphis and ended in the Smoky Mountains. Now on with the awesome pics and views, enjoy!...

Heading towards TN...

Our morning hotel view, looking east...

The Pyramid...

On the Memphis Belle, on the Great Mississippi River...

Under I-57 on the Mississippi River...

A couple of pics from our visit to the Memphis Zoo...

My daughter and Godson with the Buddha...

The fun part, Beale Street in downtown Memphis...

Who owns this? I actually spoke to the owner about the parking situation...

After 3 days in Memphis, time to go to The Smokies, on the others side of TN...

Our final destination...

We're off to the Mountains for some family fun...

Looking down onto Gatlinburg from up on the Mountains...

We finally reached the border...

Heavy rains moving into the Mountains, 6,500 ft up...

Anyone ready for lunch in the Mountains...

The Park Ranger's eco-friendly Prius...

An awesome buggy seen in Pigeon Forge, next to a tC...

That's just some of the many photo's we took out there and all I can say is that TN people are very friendly and polite. We definitely will be going back again for another exciting road trip. See ya'll next year...

glad you had a good time , wish we would have known you were planning a rip we could have gotten together while you were in town. The zoo is a nice place to go and looks like yall had a good time. I have met the owner of the TCM xB he has a matching trailer, that he halls his harley on if it is the same guy.

Glad to see you had a good trip. I guess we don't appreciate the scenery since we see it everyday. The you hit some nice areas.

So basically you only did memphis and gatlinburg. All the good stuff was in between away from all the tourist traps. Did you hit the civil war battlefields at exit 108? What about Opryland in nashville or the parthenon?
Sounds like you missed a bunch of stuff.

I had started a topic about going to TN and what was there to do while I was on vacation there. No one really answered and gave me anything worth seeing. I was supposed to go to Graceland but didn't go so I figure there has got to be something else to do there in Memphis. The main part of going to TN was the Smokies, which was well worth the 7 or 8 hours from Memphis. Overall, I enjoyed it and will be going back again...hopefully next year...
