It seems that way. I know most the tC's I see driving around are bone stock or just have OEM accessories. I saw a superwhite driving around that looked pretty good but Im not sure whos that was.

Well... I'm from Southern California but stationed in Bragg, so cruising the pacific south boards and then the mid south boards are totally different experiences. I have another year or so in NC so I wouldn't mind catching up with the few proud Scion owners in the area when i get back.

Of course that means i'll have to get my tC! I'm looking at january to get mine, then i have to throw in whatever extra time thats comes with getting a NB '07 or '08 sent down to the area if they dont have one around.

Maybe a few of us can get the boards a bit more active..

yo xi, u r correct in ur assumption. participation has def dwindled the last 2 yrs. it is very hard to compete with the west coast when the dealers, clubs, etc., r all into the scion philosophy and lifestyle. on the east coast, up north is great( more than half of the shows i attended this yr were above VA), and down in south Fl is very active as well. until we can convince the dealers in this area that the scion lifestyle is a moneymaker, they will continue to treat it as a red headed step child. i know that sounds kinda ruff but it needs to start with dealers showing their scion customers what scion really is and not just another # in their month end sales #s. we had a scion event here in charlotte a few months ago with poor turnout. part of the problem was that the only people that showed up heard it from this site. if the word doesnt get out, then who is to know. i used to tag scions whenever i saw one parked by leaving a card promoting this site but i have since stopped so i take partial blame for the low #s learning about this site in my area. maybe we should start our own grassroots marketing to show just how many people we r and how powerful we can become.

think its bad over there. dont come through Wilmington. lol

just a handfull of tC sna dn xB's around and most of them not even on SL. i was told several times by random people that i have the "hottest" xB in Wilm. i frankly think sometimes im the only xb down here. their are a few.

the tC guys down here are ******. i toot my little horn and wave and they want to flip me off sometimes. and the girls forgetabout it. every girl down here under 25 drive a tC.

but their are a few tC's are cool. but everyone is honda and DSM crazy down here.

i would come to Fayetville and CLT more often but i have a 3 month old and a GF that doesnt care for the car scene so its a little hard :-P.

also were "off season" so see most of us at WiNtEr CruIzE in myrtle beach. mid feb.

You are so right!!! The dealers in my area (Raleigh, N.C.), have no interest in Scion events, and it seems most Scion owners in this area only think of their cars as just daily drivers, nothing special. There are four Scion owners where I work; we all love our cars, although I am the most avid fan. Two of us have xA's, one tC, and one xB. I have asked the others if they would be interested in attending a Scion event in the area if one ever happens, and they all said yes! My best friend moved to Los Angeles a few years ago, and Scion events and interest in the cars are huge there! On my last visit, he took me to Toyota/Scion headquarters in Torrance to see their campus, and we went to the L.A. car show. I hope on my next visit, I can attend a big Scion show or event!

how incredibly awesome would it be to have the west coast buzz here in the east. Terry I couldnt think of a more true reason than why you gave and you work for them so you REALLY know what is going on. Im pretty much as to blame as anyone. I dont even remember the last time I went to a meet?! and I live up at uncc wich means alot of scion's yet I do nothing about it I just admire them and that's about it. I think it would pretty much be the best thing If we could get some sponsorships and have a HUGE scion meet sometime in the near future. that's just my two cent's for the morning

we just hired a new salesman from california. i turned everything over to him, he is starting to realize just how dead this area is, but he seems real eager to get something goin. that still isnt going to stop me from tryin to bring in more people. i made a new card tag to start putting on peoples cars so hopefully that will make some changes.

thats surprising because im from Rockland originally. things were always going on. then again its near winter so not much will go on now. but spring valley always had "rice night" on Wednesdays and Sundays.
having spent most of my life in Bergen(next to Rockland) I am surprised as i always looked before I go home and there always was a lot of stuff

Well over here in memphis on the edge of the Midsouth /deep south area theres quite a bit going on. Could be a little more though. At least we got a good group of people who are into scions.
