and im not knocking SE Chapters everyones... just saying the nc and sc chapters are about dead

 

those 2 might be sitting low for now, but check out other chapters of se that aregrowing in numbers (especially se-c)

 

SE is running strong despite the naysayers of the $40 membership. You get what you pay for IMO.
SE:C is growing ever stronger and our SE NC chapter is great. SE is a well established, longest running club that does not need to prove anything to anyone or club.

MR John Bowen I dont know if your aware of it but for All Scion 08 in Fayetville just about every SE member showed up took a trophy home.

Ok so all 4 of your members showed up and took home trophies in stock classes (not making fun or trashing anyone) and one of those moved to Scion Customs right after all scion.

I am one of the founding members of Shocker Scions and we have a very very strong group of CUSTOMIZED!!!! Scions. None of us like to compete in the Stock Class (sorry)

The SE Chapter of SC had Ray leading the pack with just a few customized Scions. I dont care who i make mad by this because im just standing up and saying exactly what everyone else is thinking.

I have 16 VERY CUSTOM members of my car club in which we all go to every car show thats available to attend to help bring the Scion world to the for front so everyone will recognize how much heart and soul we are putting into these rides. and to show everyone that we are not just a honda knock off...

You attended one show with 3 maybe 4 rides and took home trophies... GOOD im proud... but that was one of very few things you have done this year...

Shocker Scions has attended 14 shows since Feb. We have brought the Scion world to the for front in the Carolinas and now Scion Customs is helping bring it out but SE isnt doing anything in the Carolinas!!!! P.S you say quality over quanity? HAHA did i mention 14 shows.... and 69 Trophies? And we are attending Scion only shows and DropJaw shows!

Come on if you wanna talk crap about Shocker being large come to a show and compete in our class not that 3 modification bullcrap.

IMO SE in the Carolinas is still dead.... I dont classify a 4 member club as being a huge Success...

If ive offended anyone in this post i could care less....

Shocker Scions is and will always be the badboys on the Scene with no backing because thats the way we like to do things...

After this topic i think imma cancel my trip to Myrtle beach the weekend of Aug 23rd just to come to Greenville...

um I work for a scion dealership im also the scion champion. how is that not support and by the way my whole chapter incuding my wife is military so where the ones fighting for you country to let you attend those car shows ive been doing this way longer then you been running your group.

For some of us, it's not the fact of not wanting to be very active or not wanting to improve upon the looks of our "stock" Scions. Take me for example, I am home approximately 4 months out of the year. The other 8, I am deployed. Am I complaining, no. I am simply stating why some of us cannot be active all year long and don't have the time and/or money to make our cars exactly what we want when we want. Last time I checked everyone here started with a stock tC, unless you took the easy route and bought a used one pre-modded. It takes a little more time for some of us to create the look we want.

 

Ok here is my take on this, Bowen man, you and most of your guys are just cocky as hell, true your cars are beautiful, but even with such a great car, your attitudes ruin whatever respect, would be generated for you all. True you have a lot of trophies, true you have a lot of customized parts, but tell me this what is that worth when noone cares to talk or be friend you? Now with that being said, I have been part of both Scikotics, and Scion Evolution, there are pros and cons in both, however, I will say that Scion Evolution is ran better, not putting down scikotics, but there is way too much micro management going on there. Not to mention, there should be more rules about who you allow and dont allow to be in the club, instead of allowing anyone who drives a scion to join, Im not saying the cars have to be custom out the wazoo, but at the same time, just because someone has a nice scion, you shouldnt be forced to allow them in the club.

Bowen man, if you took 1/20th of the amount of time you put into your car, and put it into your people skills, you would be suprised how ppl respond to you.

Scion Evo man, I fully understand your point of view on this whole thing, true scion evolution as a whole is big as can be, and hopefully it continues to grow here in the south carolina "under new management"

I do want to touch on something that we all seemed to have forgotten, one thing that I know most scion clubs promote is the whole ONE LOVE thing, meaning it doesnt matter what you have done to your car, or what you havent done, we all share the same love for scions. and shouldnt put down others who havent been able to do as much to their cars, nor should we brag about how good we are.

Ill take that Shannon... and i have good people skills just when it comes to being competetive everything changes... ive grown up in a racing family and weither it was racing or working on the cars i was always extremly competetive and in my own little world... I apolize if ive ever offended you shannon.

I have always had a ill note for SE i guess since i first bought my car and wanted to start something in my area i was told there was one in Raleigh area and i would have to drive there in order to be a member.

Motivation is a huge thing in the custom world these days and this post has done nothing but motivate everyone at Shocker to step their games up...

We did get new shirts made and the front has our logo on it and the back says "We dont go to shows to make friends... We take our own."

 

Hey man, its all good I know what you mean about being competative, I just also know how it comes across, Im not offended, after all those are only words, Man i told you at unity that your car and your guys cars were all bad as hell, and I meant that. I know you all bring home trophies, but for some there is more to it then that, and to others thats all there is, No harm no foul, man

Very well said, Chef. It is so sad when people have to brag about themselves to prove they are better or something. SE is about people who love their Scions, regardless of modifications or not.
Hats off to our men and women of the ENC SE chapter for protecting our rights for freedom, to express ourselves when and where we want. It is by your sacrifice and dedication that has afforded people the ability to spend time and money on their hobbies while you are thousands of miles away protecting their rights to do so.

Unknown Fact: Shocker is really a bunch of nice guys that have really nice cars....I'm not even a member of their club and i could call anyone of them and ask them for help with my car or actually anything and they wouldn't hesitate to help....so for anyone saying "Oh you guys are trophy ******" well honestly do you go to a car show to lose?!?!?! NO....so quit whining, step you game up, and beat em at a a show....BOTTOMLINE!!!!!

 

Lol Haterade LOL Max, If you look carefully at the whole thread, you will see that, it was indeed Bowen who took jabs initally, as for my statements, Not everyone is in it to win, hell I could care less if I win, Im just there to show scion love, and there are several others like that too, Im not hating on how good shockers do, because well they have put a lot of work and time into their cars, and deserve to win, but saying that because you have "## of trophies from xx amount of shows" you are better than the stock cars is pointless, and degrading, not everyone has money to put into their cars like that, but that doesnt make them any less of a scion owner, Some of us ( you included ) have lil ones we have to provide for rather than using that money on our vehicles, because we both know diapers are HELL when it comes to your wallet, by the way how is that lil lad coming along? When its all said and done, my only reason for even posting was the attack on scion evolution, scikotics, and whoever else was downsized due to not having x amount of trophies, I guess you can say I was speaking for a wide variety of ppl. As I said to Bowen, no harm no foul, we are all just typing words, no reason to get upset over them, just stating our opinions.
