SickestScion's 05' Build Thread (CAI & LOWERING SPRINGS INSTALLED)
#102
Well men...it was real....it was fun...but it sure as hell wasn't real fun.....So we started off pretty slow and began with the rear. Finally we got the strut/spring assembly out and loosened the top bolt and watched it blow suspension bits all over the place haha. After putting the new spring in we realized we HAD to have a spring compressor....no way we could just smash it down. So after we got back everything just went smooth as glass until the very last step....We went to finish tightening the lugs down and all of a sudden it just stopped. 2 of them just wouldnt tighten or loosen. So we took the chance and just started tightening....then it snapped. the whole freakin stud broke off...this isnt the first time....for some reason it keeps happening....one had already snapped off that side so i only had 4....now 3....then the other one snapped right off too...now 2....so off to autozone i went to get 3 new studs and lugs. Came back and everything went as planned! Just word of advice....ALWAYS LUBE THE STUD BEFORE YOU TRY PUTTING IT ON! Its nearly impossible without it....but now im lowered still waiting for them to settle but it handles SOOOO much better!!
Ohh and i got my CAI installed!! Sounds alright and whistles like hell!
