I would like to thank all of the guys and gals that came up from the Mid-South region for Scion Exposed at Mid-Ohio. I had a lot of fun seeing people I hadn't seen for a while and even meeting new people. And to think that we were some of the first people there in the morning.

Congrats to those that also won trophies. I know the TN guys won some and two of the KY guys took home trophies too. It was good to know that we can go to an out of town event and bring home awards.

I should have all my pictures (350 in total) edited and posted in the meets section of the gallery. Not all will make it due to bad lighting, etc. but I will try to get all the show pictures up.

Wow. I had never found Gallery->Events until backspacing in your URL. Great way of showing pix, and they look good onscreen at only 40 kb. I grabbed a bunch of shots of my car. Questions:
- What were the original filesizes - did you or the Gallery reduce them to 40kb and make the thumbnails?
- Some have good old-fashioned telephoto foreshortening - does your camera have a strong zoom?
- Sun reflections have star bursts - is that natural or does it take a filter?

 

Hey Nolan! Good meeting you at the event. Awesome pics. What camera did you use? I'm hoping to get mine d/l'ed this week from the still digi cams and video cam I took along. I'll post the race track lap video over on my site and tag the URL here when its up.

T'was a good good time for myself, esp seeing the little towns and country-side that I ventured out into on Sat evening and Sunday. Only thing I didn't like was taking a rock to my windshield on the way up. Umph! Getting that replaced tomorrow via insurance.

Also thankful that I didn't go a day earlier, as multiple tornadoes had touched down Thursday night there at the track! YIPES! But the track did a superior clean-up job. Impressive. More on the storm & track damage here:

I made them smaller and then ScionLife puts the original in a thumbnail to makes it easier for people on 56k dialup. Click on them for a bigger size. I have digital zoom and can reach some pretty far distances. You can use a filter, but I don't have one for my camera.
