Your favorite Carolina Scion dealers
I'm shopping for a new car and seriously considering a Scion xA, but so far I have had mixed experiences with dealers. Can anyone recommend a good dealer to shop at? I'm in the Triad area of NC.
I forget if they are called "Toyota of Raliegh" or not but its in the Raliegh area, i used to live there and thats where i bought mine. If he still works there, talk to Chris. Great guy, won't try to screw you over with anything and makes things clear for you so you have no surprises or hold ups on the purchase.
Strongly recommend them, if you go and talk to Chris tell him Tony said whats up. If he doesn't remember me tell him its the guy with the blue xb. He should remember me.

Toyota of Raleigh is now Fred Anderson Toyota/Scion. I bought my xA there in January and highly recommend them for sales and service. I don't know Chris or if he is still there, but my salesman Omar Lateef is there, and I talk to him every 3,000 miles when I'm in for an oil change service. He is a great guy, and will treat you with honesty and respect. If you ask for him, please tell him Jonathan Jones sent you. The rest of the info you need is : 9101 Glenwood Ave. Raleigh, N.C. 27617/ Phone: 919-787-0099/ Email: olateef@anderson-auto.com
I ended up finding a helpful dealer several hundred miles away in Florida while I was there on a trip. In contrast to local dealers with salespeople who seemed uninterested and/or unkonwledgeable about the xA, this dealer 1) had xAs on the lot, 2) had a salesperson who was willing to spend a couple hours with me on a potential sale that would not result in a large commission, and 3) was willing to locate the exact vehicle I wanted before it even hit the dock.
If the Florida arrangement falls through, I will look into the Raleigh dealer.

Trust me Sparks is the best. I went all the way down from Maryland to buy my car and it wasnt done at the time.
So they gave me a free loaner, and my salesmen hand delivered my car to my door

Toyota of Gastonia was my first stop. The salesman didn't know much, if anything, about the xA -- couldn't even fold the rear seats down properly and said maybe 10 words during the test drive. A sales manager tried to delay me after the test drive, then disappeared. I left.
Jim Hudson Toyota Scion sucks as well. The salesman didn't know jack about the brand. I ended up telling him everything. Then 2 weeks later he calls me up with questions so he can try and sell another one! WTF! Horrible service, horrible sales people. It was my first car purchase on my own so i wasn't aware of all of this at the time. If i could do it again i wouldn't go there. Dick Dyer Toyota totally kicks ___. It's where I've gone for all service related issues. They even added me to my brothers account so i get all the benefits they offer to car buyers. Great dealership, never had any problems with them.
i bought mine from scott clark toyota on independence they were "OK" but after i got the car i had a few things i needed to talk to them about and everytime i would go up there i would have to hunt someone down they were not fun to deal with after the sale
Must say that my experience with Fred Anderson was great. I drove from Winston Salem because they had the xA on the lot. Drove it home that night. I have been back for service once because I had a meeting at the RDu airport. Since I am Winston Salem Modern Toyota has done some warranty work and two of my free oil changes. i would recommend Fred Anderson any time. The dealership is on Hwy 70 just before RDU airport. While you are out there you can go over to the Angus Barn. Best steak in town.
i cant give praise to geene reed toyota/scion. they were as helpful as could be. it was like i was going to a toyota lot looking for a ford, they didnt know crap, then the salesman told me he could hook me up with parts to mod it
lol what a joke that was there price was 50 to 100 over trd and the net. now when i go up there for oil changes everyone just stares at my car? like im some evil scion in the toyota dealership?? but i have to admit the salesman was up front and got me the color and options i asked for.. so i guess i cant hate on stupity that much cause i bought my xb from there
Fred Anderson sucks...initially i thought was good..i came to realized their Service department is rated A+ but the sales group is like a bunch of shark.
Prior your purchase, they will be as friendly as ever, after the purchase already done, they dont eve bother to return a call answer my question regarding some $500 rebate which i think i should get it but i don't care about it anymore. No calling back is the worst.
p/s the sale person that trying to sale me the car don't know jack ____ about the car at all. I was in need of a car, I knew more about it. lame excuse from the sale manager stating all sales don't much about the scion then the buyer...wtf!....arent you suppose to learn about the product you are trying to sell?
