Default 2007 HVAC and GAUGE CLUSTER LED SWAP!!!

Me and Budsmoke are in the process of swapping LEDs. Were both going with blue / white combos. He is mapping out the schematics for them right now and gonna take some time to learn exactly the differences and what needs to be done differently from the 07 to the 06. Thanks to engifineer's "How To" already posted, we will be able to get this done a little faster. Ill post pictures as soon as possible!

I have a new mod being tested in mine right now. It works on all tC models and requires no cutting of traces. After testing it thoroughly (hopefully by this weekend) I will be offering a new kit to replace my old one. One kit for all models, and about half the labor to install. The kit will also be a base for another upcoming lighting mod very soon. I will update this weekend hopefully.

After the testing, I will be purchasing some parts and adding on some basic protection circuits to ensure that in the unlikely case something goes wacko, it will not overload the HVAC board or short anything out. It will also help to prevent damage if it is connected improperly. The kit will include an add on module. This means you also will not bend and solder wiring all over the front of your board. There will be minimal connections to the board and it can be swapped back to factory with no issues.

Chanman.. sorry for the terrible delays. I have been busy with work and family.. the new mod I just mentioned and a million emails and pms My bad for not keeping you updated. How about you be the first one to have the new mod (other than my car) after it is proven and a reduced price for the wait?

Sorry i havent posted picture of the swap yet.... Budsmoker is incredible with Surface mount LEDs. How lucky am I hes my neighbor and drives a tC too. I get him discounts on all parts and he does my lighting. Engifineer's previous schematics for the 2006 were the base on which we worked with. Also another natural with electronics from what Ive heard. Ive been promoted to Aftermarket ProShop Manager of my own store and I have had to train in some people and get the new store up and running. Kinda busy lately, but I will take pictures. I did a Blue / White Scheme that i dont think anyone else has done. 1000x Better than the Amber. Me and Tony (Budsmoke) figured out why they chose amber. First off its the cheapest LED. 2nd off everyone that owns a Scion agrees on the color....they agree that its horrible. So Scion doesnt have to worry about pleasing one and not the other..... They just decided to not please anyone, lol. Also the Circuit Board is exactly the same in 06 and 07. Even though there is a new light in the airbag / seatbelt area the 06 Boards are the exact as the 07. Me and Tony are going to put the 07 extra light into his 06 and prob be the first to do it. We also have some other crazy original plans with the vehicle. But its wintertime, I sell Astrostart Remote Starters for a living so im REALLY busy.

Blue and white scheme hmm? White numbers blue needles? That's what I want to do. Well, maybe red needles - haven't decided yet. I'm anxious to see what you've got! I want to learn how to do these gauge swaps myself. Mainly because I don't want to pay anyone else to do it.

The 06 boards are not identical to the 07's in a few ways. First, the part placement is obviously different. Second, the logic is different. An 07 board wont even work in an 06, so be careful when changing things around. Glad you guys got it finished and like it!

Streeter, I am working on the stuff from your pm and hope to have something soon. I cant see the link at work though, so I will look at it tonight. Whatever new stuff I do will be on my car first, so we can meet up if you want so you can see it.

engifineer, does your new kit sit on top of the stock led's or something, you mentioned reverting to stock. Is this a solder-free kit?
